Senior Manager, Emergency Response
The HSE leader responsible for developing and maintaining effective strategies and plans for emergency preparedness, response, and crisis management. Responsible for developing the appropriate improvement plans, relevant standards, coordinating response planning for worldwide operations, managing corporate crisis management drills, and conducting periodic program audits of emergency preparedness and response programs. This position will work closely with Information Technology to ensure corporate crisis management strategies effectively support plans for business continuity and disaster recovery.

Essential Functions:

Assist executive management in translating long term vision into an actionable 5-year plan to improve Nobles emergency preparedness and response programs.Develops and maintains the corporate level crisis management and response plans.Manages the necessary network of contracted response resources to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.Coordinates the Incident Command System training and exercises for Noble’s global operations.Establishes the necessary corporate emergency response and crisis management standards for implementation.Manages all third-party services associated with the emergency preparedness and response programs.Develop the necessary metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of program management as well as performance.Evaluates and implements the appropriate enterprise tools to support effective and efficient response planning and management.Manages the development of site and corporate level audit protocols necessary to ensure emergency preparedness and response programs have been consistently and effectively implemented.Assist both the Corporate and imbedded HSE staff in tracking new regulatory requirements and assessing the impact on the corporation.Responds to emergencies or high-profile events to assist in managing response and conducting post response reviews.Communicates clearly and concisely to employees, contractors, members of the public and executive management on HSE issues.Prioritize, manage, and execute work on multiple projects simultaneously.Travel to remote locations and perform program assessments and compliance audits.Provides guidance to leadership and others on health, safety, and environment practices. Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of significant experience in an industrial setting with at least 5 years in a petrochemicals or oil & gas managing or overseeing emergency response teams.Degree in safety or emergency response/management or a combination of technical certifications/qualifications complimented with extensive prior experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.Significant practical experienced working with front line emergency response and crisis management personnel.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Qualifications in the Incident Command System (ICS). 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800 (or equivalent).Demonstrated history as a leader in crisis management and emergency response in an industrial sector.Prior experience working with and advising senior company executives at the regional and global level.Experience with marine emergency response

Work Environment:

Must be able to travel as required (15-20%)to various locations.On-call availability during emergencies or major incidents.
