Danfoss is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a team of engineers to achieve consistently strong results. As Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the full product engineering lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to ongoing support and documentation.
This role requires a proven track record of motivating high-performing teams and achieving ambitious targets, while fostering strong collaboration across international teams. This role will operate daily out of our Easley, SC facility and report directly to the Sr. Director, Engineering.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Team Leadership & Management: Lead and develop a team of Product Engineers, Drafters, and Lab Technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring timely project completion. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and skill enhancement within the team.
Product Engineering & Development: Manage the complete product lifecycle, including design, documentation (3D/2D models, BOMs, reports, etc.), simulations (FEA, CFD), and design reviews (DFMEAs). Oversee new product development and continuous improvement projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
Customer & Compliance: Provide technical support to customers. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/IATF16949 standards and protect intellectual property.
Strategic Contribution: Participate in the Valves North America Leadership Team, contributing to the development and implementation of business strategies.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of experience in product engineering, preferably within mobile hydraulics or drivetrain components. A proven track record of success is required. Demonstrated leadership of technical people Must be able to facilitate thorough engineering analyses using established engineering principles Must possess strong analytical and technical skills, including strong problem-solving skills Must possess an aptitude for design work and product development Must be able to work on a tactical as well as strategic level Must have a can-do attitude; possess a high sense of urgency and must be able to work in a team environment and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Minimal travel at times less than 5%
