What is the opportunity?
The Senior Manager, Enterprise and CUSO Risk Initiatives will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing new and updated RBC Enterprise and Combined US Operations (CUSO) standards and policies, and then designing, implementing, and facilitating the execution of the corresponding RBC Wealth Management-US (WM-US) programs under those standards and policies.
The Senior Manager, Enterprise and CUSO Risk Initiatives will lead the WM-US response and change management related to new/updated standards and policies, managing the work efforts across multiple projects and initiatives and working closely with a variety of leaders and business partners across RBC business lines and functional groups in helping WM-US meet these important obligations.
What will you do?
Review and analyze new and updated Enterprise and CUSO standards and policies; design, implement, and facilitate the execution of corresponding programs for WM-US.Lead and manage the projects and initiatives related to the changes under the new/updated standards and policies.Initially, primarily focus on CUSO Payment Risk Standard, which will require standing up and executing initial lifecycle of WM-US Payment Risk program in 2025.Additionally, facilitate execution of second lifecycle of WM-US Operational Resilience program under Enterprise Operational Resilience standard and help facilitate launch and execution of WM-US approach under Enterprise and CUSO Event Escalation standards in 2025.Monitor Enterprise and CUSO standard and policy pipeline for new/updated standards and policies impacting WM-US; create process for intake, analysis, sizing, project management, and change management for new/updated standards and policies.Develop reporting and enhance existing reporting related to Enterprise and CUSO standard and policy requirements.Develop new and enhance existing team processes and written procedures related to Enterprise and CUSO standard and policy requirements.Perform ad hoc risk management responsibilities to support team and WM-US (e.g., committee presentations, root cause analyses, regulatory requests, etc.).What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Progressive experience in the financial services industry, with significant industry knowledge and demonstrated success in directing and leading projects and initiatives.Strong knowledge of US broker-dealer risk and/or compliance practices and regulatory expectations.Skill and judgment to be able to manage multiple projects and initiatives at a time and deal effectively with and influence business partners, stakeholders, and senior management.Proven skill in handling conflict, strategic thinking and decision making in a time-sensitive environment, meticulous attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.What’s in it for you?
