Job Summary
As our business continues to evolve, there is an emerging need to support the CEO with the development of an integrated enterprise strategy, coordination of the business planning process, and oversight of ELT governance. There is an immediate opportunity for high-potential talent in our business to partner with the Senior Director, Enterprise Governance and Business Operations, ELT, and key leaders in the achievement of these objectives.
This role requires a highly collaborative and roll-up-your-sleeves individual with executive presence. You must have the ability to balance strategic thinking with focused execution, as well as the humility to play a supporting role in driving the success of the business. You must also be able to bring tasks to completion independently but appropriately escalate complex questions and risks. You will report directly to the Senior Director, Enterprise Governance and Business Operations.
This role offers the incumbent a unique opportunity to learn from CEO/Executive Leaders, gain a strategic view of Otsuka's US pharmaceutical business, and drive transformation. The individual in this role must have a foundational understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, and interest and ability to significantly deepen their understanding to be able to contribute at an enterprise level. Job Responsibilities
Coordinate Executive Governance meetings (ELT) in partnership with Senior Director, Enterprise Governance and Business OperationsCreate and manage annual ELT calendar, and assignment of ELT sponsors.Help execute standing ELT monthly meetings, and serve as lead in the absence of Senior Director, Enterprise Governance and Business OperationsHelp coordinate strategic off-sites.Lead scheduling, development/archival of agendas/minutes, and management of related meeting materials.Drive follow-up action items with the ELT and key business stakeholders accordingly.Create and maintain corporate (US) governance calendar through coordination with cross functional stakeholders including but not limited to Commercial and R&D leadership, PSAM, Alliance Management, BD, Facilities and Corporate Communications.Support annual goal planning process including facilitation of ELT/leadership working sessions to drive goal development; collate periodic performance assessments from businessDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to drive coordination and alignment.Develop executive-level deliverables (e.g., PowerPoints, talking points, etc.) for leadership visibility and endorsement.Help organize and optimize office of the CEO (e.g., streamline business communication, enhance routine reporting, etc.)Assist in the coordination of mid to long-term strategy planning as part of the Annual Business planning cycle, overseeing external vendor engagement as applicable.Serve as back-up for Senior Director, Enterprise Governance and Business Operations.Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience at Otsuka preferred, with at least 5 years of experience working in the Pharma industryCommercial experience preferred but not requiredAdvanced degree preferred but not requiredCritical Core Competencies
