**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Senior Manager, Field Sales Training role will lead a team responsible for developing training curriculum, designing plans, implementing initiatives and delivering training and development of agents, field leadership and support staff to ensure alignment with the business results for Kemper Life’s sales force.
The Sr. Manager will serve as an effective training and development liaison for field employees with emphasis on developing relationships within the business units. This role will work closely with the Sales Operations leadership team, the Distribution leadership team, and other business partners to support organizational goals, ensure accurate reporting and to be a strategic partner.
**POSITION RESPONSBILITIES:**
+ Manage the development of field training programs, materials and methods in accordance with needs and requirements to achieve both immediate and long-range goals.
+ Analyze business data to create training programs that foster a positive learning environment and support the operational and development needs of the field organization.
+ Establish and maintain partnerships with managers, directors, and division heads to determine and forecast the training needs of the organization. Translate those requirements into training programs and services that meet the identified needs.
+ Effectively apply knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory to the design and delivery methods of new training/development programs.
+ Utilize multimedia technology, eLearning and electronic performance support as part of a blended approach.
+ Identify and evaluate vendor solutions for training.
+ Review external training materials and/or programs to determine feasibility and applicability.
+ Administer programs and assign training activities and resources.
+ Create and maintain accurate records on the progress and performance of training initiatives.
+ Develop and manage metrics to established standards.
+ Support the team to coordinate and track progress of key strategies, initiatives, and projects; ensure key milestones and timelines are met as per strategic agenda opportunities
+ Support the continuous exchange of best practices, learning and information across all teams within Kemper and Kemper Life
+ Coordinate overall field training roadmap, events and content for Kemper Life
+ Support strengthening of relationship with all internal and external partners
+ Develop team through establishing a culture of trust and transparency.
+ Enable effective coaching relationships by providing coaching; creating learning opportunities; building competencies; exchanging feedback; and advising.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**POSITION QUALIFICAITONS:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or the equivalent in related work experience
+ A minimum of 5 to 7 years of training, development and/or instructional design work experience required.
+ At least 2 to 4 years of leadership experience in a training and development role
+ Sales training experience in insurance and/or financial services
+ Experience working with current training technology and multimedia tools and applications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or the equivalent in related work experience
+ A minimum of 5 to 7 years of training, development and/or instructional design work experience required.
+ At least 2 to 4 years of leadership experience in a training and development role
+ Sales training experience in insurance and/or financial services
+ Experience working with current training technology and multimedia tools and applications
+ This is an onsite position in our Chesterfield, MO office
