Senior Manager, Finance

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Management responsibility for the Division financials, P&L, annual budget formation & execution, contract & proposal pricing.  Work directly with Business development for growth opportunities. Responsible for business operations support to programs and management. Responsible for business group financials and business operations to include business financial consolidation, project control functions, KPI metric reporting, pricing support and in-depth financial modeling support. Participates in program operations initiatives and provides financial guidance. This position liaises between the business unit's leadership and corporate support organizations and will lead a team of Project Controllers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors business performance by contract/project; with the understanding of various revenue recognition methods including revenue/lead with incentives and disincentives Performs the monthly closing process and preparation of the monthly financial reviews Analyzes profit & loss statements and income statements for the programs and business unit Prepares and briefs program, business unit and executive leadership on contract/project performance Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management Develops and maintains specifications for contract/project setup and reporting in Costpoint accounting system Experience in Supervising program analyst(s)/accountant(s) in completion of contract/project accounting tasks Performs variance analysis and funding projections Estimates cost to complete, estimate to complete, and determines actual cost at completion Manage the annual budget and rolling forecast projections for contracts/projects Support Business Development and Growth Performs economic research and studies subjects: rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, financial and expense comparisons Develops subordinate project control analyst Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business/Management or another related field 8 or more years of experience as financial/business analyst or related capacity required 5 or more years of experience in a business management or program control management leadership capacity Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required, especially Excel Costpoint accounting system and Cognos reporting package strongly preferred Must have high level interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization Self-directed and highly motivated, with the decisiveness and flexibility necessary to operate successfully in a changing, rapid-growth, and hands-on environment

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
