Description of Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position primarily include:
Motivate, develop and lead U.S. Consolidations teamManage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure the timely consolidation of the financial statements for Group 1’s dealerships and various corporate entitiesCritically evaluate current processes to provide innovative solutions to optimize consolidation and reporting proceduresReview of monthly U.S. Reporting packagesPreparation of consolidated financial statement trend analysis and other internal monthly and quarterly reportingReview and approval of metadata and mapping changes within Oracle FCCSReview of various journal entries required in the consolidation of Group 1’s financial statementsManage acquisition and disposition accounting procedures and provide detailed review of opening/closing entriesSupport internal and external audits and reviews by ensuring timely completion of supporting schedules to the auditorsManage Same Store and non-GAAP reporting processesLead special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests

The ideal candidate should have, at a minimum:
Successfully retained a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree, with a major in accounting or finance, from a reputable business collegeA firm understanding of accounting principlesEight to ten years of relevant experience in accounting at a large, multi-location corporation and/or public accounting firm; including three to five years of supervisory experience. CPA strongly preferredExperience effectively managing and developing manager level staffProficiency handling multiple, simultaneous projectsA working knowledge of Oracle FCCS and Oracle Fusion ERPAdvanced Excel experience: familiarity with SmartView or other Excel add-in tools for querying EPM data is a plus
