The Senior Manager - Financial Data Analytics is responsible for leading and executing data-driven strategies to provide actionable insights that improve financial decision-making, optimize performance, and drive business value. The manager will work closely with senior finance leaders, Operations, and Business Development teams to develop and implement predictive models, performance metrics, and analytical tools that enhance financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes. This position combines financial expertise with advanced analytical techniques to optimize financial performance, making it a key leadership role within the finance organization.
What You Will Do:
Partner with Operations and BD leaders to identify opportunities to drive results Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics strategies to improve financial decision-making, forecasting, cash flow forecasting, profitability analysis and budgeting processes Work with senior finance stakeholders to identify high-impact analytics opportunities and translate business needs into data-driven solutions. Lead the development of financial performance dashboards and reports that highlight key metrics, variances, and actionable insights for senior management. Provide ad-hoc analytics support to various finance teams, including FP&A, treasury, and accounting, to drive data-informed decision-making. Develop and manage financial forecasting models that incorporate historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to predict future financial performance. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in the finance function using advanced analytics tools and techniques. Optimize financial reporting and performance measurement by implementing analytics solutions that reduce manual work and improve decision speed and accuracy. Promote the use of self-service analytics tools across finance teams to foster a data-driven culture within the organization. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, helping them develop their technical and analytical skills. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the analytics team, staying up to date on the latest trends and techniques in finance analytics.What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s degree in a quantitative discipline or MBA is a plus. 5+ years of experience in finance, data analytics, or advanced analytics, with a focus on financial data and insights. Strong experience with advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis, applied to financial data. Proven experience working with large financial datasets, utilizing analytical tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Expertise in financial modeling, financial forecasting, and performance analysis. Advanced certifications in data science or analytics (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Data Science certifications). Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Knowledge of finance-specific machine learning applications (e.g., credit risk modeling, fraud detection, optimization). Experience with automation and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) in finance analytics. Obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.Reporting Relationships:
The incumbent Reports to the VP of Financial Shared Services. This position may have direct reports.
