Job Title: Senior Fleet Maintenance Manager

Available Locations: Ecru, MS – Advance, NC – Mesquite, TX – Colton, CA

What will you do?

Senior Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our company's fleet of vehicles. The Senior Fleet Maintenance Manager will ensure that all vehicles are maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This role will work closely with the Director of Fleet Maintenance to develop and implement maintenance strategies, manage a team of technicians, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Leadership and Team Management:

- Manage, train, and retain a team of maintenance technicians.

- Provide leadership and direction to the fleet maintenance team.

- Foster a positive and productive work environment.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

- Mentor managers and technicians, fostering career growth and development.

Shop Operations:

- Oversee the daily operations of the fleet maintenance department.

- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.

- Ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits of fleet vehicles.

- Be a subject matter expert on all technologies and systems used by maintenance operations.

Performance Monitoring:

- Monitor and control maintenance costs and budgets.

- Track and analyze maintenance performance metrics.

- Implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

- Assist with contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.

Resource Management:

- Coordinate with other departments to ensure vehicle availability and reliability.

- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

- Manage inventory of parts and supplies.

- Optimize the use of resources to improve efficiency.

- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and service providers.

Budget and Financial Management:

- Assist with the development of the fleet maintenance budget.

- Monitor and control maintenance costs.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and create strategies to reduce expenses.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Coordinate with other departments to ensure vehicle availability and reliability.

- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external vendors.

- Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to fleet maintenance.

- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fleet maintenance.

- Prepare and present detailed reports on maintenance performance to senior management.

Training and Development:

- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for maintenance technicians.

- Ensure team members are up to date with the latest maintenance techniques and technologies.

- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

- Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to address them.

- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.

- Willingness to take on special projects that support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What do you need?

· Minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet maintenance, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.

· Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices and regulatory requirements.

· Proven experience in managing a team of technicians and fostering a positive work environment.

· Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

· Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

· Proficient in MS Office and fleet management software.
