About the Role

Join our growing team today! The role is envisaged to work within the Investments-linked and Pensions Business in partnership with AIA local business units (LBU) and other Group units to undertake Manager Research, product selection and oversight for strategies suitable for the investment-linked and pension business across AIA Group.

Job Description

Identify suitable outstanding managers and strategies as well as develop investment solutions to support the LBU product needs.Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of investment strategies which includes EFM screening, due diligence and ongoing performance analysis to ensure the strategies are properly executed and the performance objectives are met.Liaise with EFM’s to do preliminary desktop research and provide the specification to Group Investment Asset Class Heads of AIA who will jointly complete the product evaluation and finalization of the EFM/StrategyUndertake regular performance monitoring and attribution analysis for the sub fund managersPropose strategy enhancements or replacements where requiredProvide oversight in line with MAS outsourcing guidelines, ensure compliance with AIA’s Investment Governance Framework and relevant regulationsMeet EFMs regularly to get new product ideas and industry intelligence

Job Requirements

Degree in finance / law / economics, ideally with relevant professional qualifications such as CFA.At least 7 to 12 years or more proven experience in the asset management industry, with minimum 10 years in product due diligence and manager selection and oversight.In depth, technical knowledge of mutual fund products and working knowledge of regulatory environment in Asia.A proven track record to identify product trends and to advise in the design of products to meet investor needsEnergetic and strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business, operations and internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Strong, proven, product management skill.Proficient with Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Powerpoint, Word, MS Excel,Great communicator who is highly proficient in English and Mandarin.
