Senior Manager, Global Accounts Payable

Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Global Business Services (GBS) will play a key strategic part in managing the on-going
processing of all Accounts Payable (AP) activities in strong collaboration with our 3rd party provider. This
position will have direct responsibility for all AP activities in North America and Europe, indirect
responsibility for AP activities in Latin America, and provide advisory support to the Controllership team
in Asia, to drive process improvement initiatives, simplification, standardization, automation while sharing
best practices. The successful candidate in this role will have responsibility of supervising a large
geographically diverse team and to partner across various functions to ensure identified processes
successfully meet the needs of the business. This role will also be fully responsible for managing the
Company’s Travel & Expense (T&E) processes and systems globally.


Accountabilities

Provide strong oversight and manage the relationship with 3rd party provider for all AP related activities. Develop outsourcing policies and strategies to maximize vendor effectiveness. Monitor vendor performance and provide necessary training as needed. Identify opportunities for process improvements with a focus on driving flawless delivery of service and continuity of outsourcing activities. Primary liaison between outsourced provider and Edgewell to ensure balances are current and issues or disputed amounts are resolved satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Relentless commitment to standardization and optimization of processes; drive process improvement to deliver top quarterly cost, cycle time, and quality performance; perform to service level agreements (SLA’s) developed for the outsourced provider. Evaluate and monitor internal and outsourced process controls to ensure SOX compliance. Support working capital reduction initiatives including coordinating reporting and analysis requirements. Pro-actively respond to information requests from various key partners and stakeholders including Finance, Treasury, and regional Controllers. Prepare various reports used for tax filings and provide accurate and timely data to the FP&A team to support KPI measurement. Own the entire T&E process including expense reports, credit cards, cash and credit card payments, expense reporting system, and expense reporting policies and responding to inquiries as needed. Support strategic planning initiatives to improve operational excellence of the global business service functional areas. Attract, grow, engage and retain talent through timely, effective, and consistent use of performance management, succession, planning, coaching, and other talent management tools. Identify and drive participation in training, development and career growth opportunities for team members. Stay abreast of industry best practices and champion the development of automation and/or process improvements. Support special projects as needed. Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management highly preferred. A minimum of 5 years’ experience having managed an off-shore BPO or outsourcing relationship. 5+ years of people management responsibilities having directly and indirectly managed a remote team. Demonstrated knowledge of audit controls and requirements. Significant procure-to-pay management experience within an organization of similar size and complexity, ideally gained within an FMCG environment. Strong working knowledge of SAP with experience implementing or consolidating SAP instances.

Experience managing both an on-shore and off-shore team and working across departments, with demonstrated success planning and accomplishing goals. Highly skilled at leading others, but fully capable of accomplishing tasks independently when needed. Highly organized with strong attention to detail, flexible, self-motivated, and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively manage time and respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and work effectively with team members and various key stakeholders. Sound financial acumen; strong analytical skills and ability to make data driven decisions. Team player with the drive to help assure high quality standards. Ability to influence without direct authority. Commitment to process improvement and optimization (i.e., suggesting alternatives and more effective/efficient ways to work). Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 

Working Relationships

Reports to the Senior Director Global Business Servies Will work with North America, Europe and LATAM management as well as internal customers such as Finance, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, Sales, Marketing and Internal Audit. External engagement will include Edgewell suppliers, External Audit, local Professional advisors, and BPO partner.

 

Work Environment

Travel up to 15%. International travel required. Position may require sitting at a desk for long periods of time. Potential for long hours to meet key project and reporting deadlines.

 

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
