As you navigate the corporate tax landscape, you'll become the architect of global tax strategy. Each quarter, you'll meticulously craft tax provisions, maintaining deferred balances and documenting uncertain positions with precision. The challenge? Tax regulations shift constantly, requiring you to adapt quickly while maintaining accuracy.
You'll partner with service providers on tax returns across federal, state, and local jurisdictions, ensuring every filing reflects the company's true tax position. When audits arise, you'll transform into a technical detective, researching complex issues and defending positions with authorities.
The greatest challenges come from juggling multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously in a remote environment that spans time zones. You'll need to establish clear boundaries while remaining flexible enough to meet urgent deadlines that often extend beyond standard hours.
Drawing on your Big 4 and corporate background, you'll leverage your ASC 740 expertise and analytical skills to not just complete tax work, but to provide strategic insights that impact business decisions. In this role, you don't just calculate taxes—you create financial clarity in an increasingly complex global environment.
What You’ll Do
Tax Provision: Prepare/review quarterly and annual global tax provision calculations and disclosures, including maintenance of deferred tax balances, uncertain tax positions, tax account rollforwards, and other related schedules/memo Tax Compliance: Collaborate with service providers on federal, state, and local tax return preparation and review, including state apportionment; tax attributes; federal and state extensions and estimated tax payments; return to provision true up analysis, and deferred and payable proof reconciliations Technical support: Assist with technical research on various tax issues, R&D credit studies, responses to inquiries/audits from various federal and state tax authorities; GAAP/Non-GAAP/cash tax forecasting; and other ad hoc projects
What You’ll Bring
