A passion for:
Identifying, engaging, and educating public policy stakeholders on our business model and developing legislative strategies to effectively shape policy outcomes.
Creating and implementing proactive state and local advocacy strategies that include direct engagement with key stakeholders, cross-functional support within the business, and collaboration with external consultants.
Cultivating and managing relationships with trade associations, membership organizations, and industry partners.
Providing public officials with timely and relevant information, both responsive and proactive, regarding Shipt’s public policy positions, business operations, and innovation initiatives.
Developing expertise in a wide range of policy issues impacting core business operations including the future of work, transportation, food and product safety, technological innovation including AI, data privacy, campaign finance, and others.
Create opportunities for company leaders to build relationships with elected officials by coordinating visits, tours, and attendance at events
3+ of experience in policy, government affairs, lobbying or advocacy work
Experience working with an app-based company and/or labor experience preferred
Work ArrangementShipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. $86,357-$172,715All other locations:
$72,035-$143,964Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
