About the Role

This role is responsible for planning and implementing acquisitions / divestitures and strategic business alliances for assigned Corporate Transactions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support the Transaction Management team lead to work in partnership with business units, group functions and potential business partners to identify and assess acquisition opportunities, develop transaction rationales, formulate bid strategy and support execution thereof that will allow AIA to pursue strategically important inorganic growth opportunities.Support development of internal business case to update and seek approval/guidance from the Strategic initiative Committee (SIC) and Board regarding potential transactionsSupport the facilitation of discussion amongst multi-functional deal teams for live transactionsSupport development on all transaction deliverables including corporate communications and announcement, offer letters, proposal, workshop materials, management meeting questions, due diligence assessment and legal documentationSupport the development of proposals and management presentation materials with relevant AIA internal functionsSupport the preparation and / or review of transaction documents, including due diligence assessments, Q&A process, business plans, financial assessment and bid tactics

Minimum Job Requirements:

University graduate or equivalent experience with an excellent academic record8+ years strategy or banking experience in leading deals and projects, driving partnerships and business models; Qualified Actuary / CFA preferred.Shown exposure and knowledge of private transactions and partnership arrangements in the sectorExperience in preparing business proposals or proposition development would be an advantageMulti-market & Local Business Unit exposure desirableStrong business and commercial foresightAnalytical and organizational skillsIndependent and proactive mentalityStrong work ethic with a positive outlookEffective presentation and communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in both written and spoken English
