About the Role

This role can be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore.

Responsible for management of end-to-end indirect sourcing activities from demand planning to selection, negotiation and contracts with primary focus on Information Technology (IT) and other assigned categories when required.

Support category planning and spend analysis, and other Sourcing projects.

Provide sourcing recommendations to business leaders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Sourcing Activities Execution

Lead independently or support senior Sourcing staff in sourcing activities including but not limited to internal requirement analysis, supply market analysis, sourcing strategy development, competitive bidding process using e-RFP platform, negotiation and contract review.Provide sourcing direction and mentorship to internal clients and local Sourcing teams for the responsible categories/project/request.Work with people at all levels, including senior management of business units and external vendors.Identify and deliver cost savings opportunities.

Sourcing Strategy Implementation

Deliver sourcing strategy of designated categories and drive cost savings across current and new opportunities.Engage, consult and collaborate with senior internal customers in formulation and implementation of their spend strategy.Support effective management of suppliers and potential supplier rationalization.Drive global initiatives across AIA business units.

Knowledge Management

Provide specialist advice and good methodology in Sourcing to internal customers.Perform data analysis and management reports to support performance assessment, supplier base and expense analysis.

Sourcing process & system implementation

Drive and mentor in-country Sourcing teams on sourcing methodology compliance to company policies and governance model.Coordinates within the group, if applicable, to ensure appropriate allocation and deployment of supporting resourcesSupport Sourcing process and tools launch and updates and liaise with internal customers

Spend analysis and other ad-hoc projects led or supported by Sourcing!

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education in Business /Laws/Supply Chain Management/Computer Science/Quantity Surveying/Hospitality or other relevant degrees to specific categoriesProfessional certification such as CIPS/CPSM would be of advantageExtensive experience in leading end-to-end sourcing of relevant  categories, best to have strategic sourcing / procurement experiences from international financial institutes or MNCGood skills in relationship management and good teammate, ability to present and influence across all levelsStrong skills in cost and risk managementSelf-motivated teammate, who has energy and drive, also able to empower and get the best out of a multi-functional team and matrix organizationCapable of operating in a dynamic environment and able to balance short-term business needs with the long-term requirements of our businessExcellent English verbal and written communication skills.  Asian language skills would be an advantage!
