The Operations Improvement Sr. Manager is responsible for setting the direction and priorities for the team, with the primary goal of increasing Front-End semiconductor manufacturing efficiency..

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Fab Performance

Oversee global & site OI advanced analytics and optimization system development and enable precise decision making on factory operation and planning managementDrives Fab scheduling performance (ex: MAS, LDI, APF) and reporting system developments (ex: MOS) to meet business objectives and strategiesDrives the implementation of world-class Fab automation solutionsPartners with Manufacturing to improve Fab operation efficiency.Partners with global OI network to identify and leverage best-known methodsPartners with AMHS hardware and software groups to optimize system performanceDevelops and continually improving the organization by setting vision and directionCoordinates with stakeholders that are impacted by changes or new initiatives

Communication/Collaboration

Coordinates new Fab automation improvements with developers and ensures communication to usersDevelops and communicates area performance targets and communicates line of sight goals to individual contributorsCommunicates data findings and recommends solutions to diverse audiencesCommunicates customer expectations to the organizationPartners with area managers and other section managers to meet the needs of the Fab and build strong peer relationshipsTrain and develop both IE and Software Development skills

Project Management/Planning

Initiate, participate and drive global initiatives on scheduling and analytics representing OMT specific needs and challengesManages projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required timeframeDriving a culture of project management in the departmentProviding project resources and removing barriers

Safety and Quality

Completes all required safety training and ensures all work is conducted in accordance with safety policiesImproves safety behaviors and processes for their work environment through analyzing and sharing safety dataDrives a safety culture by requiring safe behaviors and sets the example for safetyCompletes required follow-up on First Aid/OSHA events within required timelinesPerforms and facilitates audits and submits good catches on safety issuesFollows-up on quality related issues and works towards resolutionEnsures all protocols and procedures are followed and are updated in a timely manner

Qualifications

Strong structural and process integration knowledge with a basic understanding of each process areaStrong organizational and prioritization skills and proven ability to drive multiple complex projects to completionProven ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally present technical informationProven ability to make sound, data-driven decisions, troubleshoot problems and address root cause in complex situationsStrong conflict management and negotiation skillsStrong teamwork skills with the ability to build strong peer relationships, including effective interpersonal skills and customer/co-worker relationshipsAbility to apply industrial engineering techniques and advanced understanding of manufacturing science (scheduling, inventory, capacity planning, scheduling/automation concepts)Advanced computer skills with experience in the following applications: MAS, ToolView, Simulation, SQL, Access, APF
