Senior Manager, Innovation and Business Optimization

**I. Job Summary**
Responsible for accelerating the rate of change across the enterprise by leading and/or working on cross functional teams to drive economic and operational efficiency through innovation, agility, scalability and reliability to existing processes or new business ideas. This role is cross-functional between Finance, Fleet, Dispatch and Operations with the objective to optimize container management across the Pacific Northwest. This includes plastic CARTS and steel. The manager will be responsible for capital requests, maintaining operational inventory needs, process improvement and a reduction in overall operating expenditures.
Key areas of responsibility for this position include working on projects across their lifecycle from pre-launch, to launch, to post project closure with specific emphasis on business case analysis, process management, and using business analytics to make financial decisions. To be successful in this role, an individual needs strong financial and analytical skills, experience in process optimization, operational asset management and vendor relations.
**II. Duties and Responsibilities**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Manages small projects or portions of larger projects over long periods of time and across multiple disciplines.
Develops new ideas and processes and, manages pilot implementation to drive improved business operations. Develops a standardized analytical process by which financial decision regarding containers are made (buy, repair, scrap or transport).
Develops and implements an effective operations improvement process, consistent with the accomplishment of long-range objectives which will enhance effectiveness, while working closely with Directors, District Managers, and other management personnel.
Utilizes financial analysis and data mining software/techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of current and proposed processes.
Ensures process implementation and improvement through direct communication, influence and solicitation of feedback.
Manages one or more managers and/or analysts.
**IV. Qualifications**
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Finance, Business Administration, Process Improvement ,Data Analytics, Technology or relevant area of study or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
Experience: Seven years of prior work experience with a proven track record of continual business process improvement and innovation simultaneously meeting financial, operations and customer demands (in addition to education requirement).

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Experience in envisioning a future state, defining the current state and drive process improvement to close the gap between the status quo and needed change.
Experience with implementation of tracking technologies.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
Demonstrated people management and team leadership skills.
Ability to work with people from all levels and across the organization.
Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to travel up to 75% of the time during project development stages. Travel 25%-50% once strategy is developed and being implemented

The expected base pay range for this position is $137,080 - $208,822 annually. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
