Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Innovation supports the Director of Innovation in developing and executing transformative strategies and initiatives. This role manages the pipeline of employee-sourced ideas, leads smaller innovation projects, and coordinates programs like pitch competitions to foster a culture of creativity and growth. The Senior Manager, Innovation works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives align with enterprise goals and deliver measurable results.
What You Will Do
Innovation Pipeline Management:
Oversee the intake, evaluation, and prioritization of employee-sourced ideas to drive profitable growth and enhance the customer experience. Develop frameworks to assess the feasibility and impact of new ideas. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and transform ideas into actionable initiatives.Program Leadership:
Plan and execute innovation programs, such as pitch competitions and innovation days, to showcase employee talent and surface impactful ideas. Partner with senior leaders to identify opportunities for scaling successful initiatives.Project Management:
Lead smaller-scale innovation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Monitor progress and ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.Reporting & Communication:
Provide regular updates to the Head of Innovation on project outcomes, pipeline progress, and program success metrics. Prepare presentations and materials for leadership reviews. In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.Skills You Will Need
Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to manage and drive cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment and successful outcomes across diverse teams.
Strategic Thinking: Strong skills in developing frameworks to assess and prioritize innovative ideas, ensuring they align with business objectives and have a measurable impact.
Project Management: Expertise in leading smaller-scale innovation projects, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery while maintaining alignment with strategic goals.
Event and Program Leadership: Experience in planning and executing innovation programs (e.g., pitch competitions, innovation days) to inspire creativity and collaboration within the organization.
Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to refine ideas and initiatives, assess feasibility, and navigate challenges in project execution.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to refine and develop innovative ideas, fostering a culture of creativity and growth.
Adaptability and Initiative: Willingness to take ownership of responsibilities, manage multiple priorities, and proactively contribute to the evolution of innovation strategies and projects.
