About the Role

We are looking for a resourceful incumbent who are eager to be part of the best integrated reporting function by driving the enhancements in systems, processes and people; with specific focus on implementation of IFRS requirements for financial instruments accounting, presentation, and disclosures. The incumbent will provide IFRS technical advice, propose accounting solutions for topics include but not limited to assets classification, fair value measurement and Expected Credit Loss (ECL). Cooperate with the Group Financial Solution (GFS) team to deliver solutions for the Group centralized financial investment accounting process, review the current system, help identify and drive areas of improvement to help improve efficiency and accuracy and execute and roll out management agreed/approved plans. We expect to provide insightful analyses to support management’s decision making and ensure accountability of deliverables performed by GFS team. Timely deliver financial reports and conformed to AIA Group policies and standards. Be the business partner of business units from a financial reporting and technical perspective; support stakeholder management through delivering value propositions to relevant internal and external stakeholders and support business and financial performance management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

IFRS reporting and consolidation

Plan, coordinate, and monitor IFRS reporting and consolidation end-to-end processProduce IFRS group reporting under applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirementsSupport design, implementation and communication of new/revised accounting policies or/and practices as well as accounting or/and reporting for new transactions, including IFRS 9 and IFRS 17Support Group initiatives, corporate transactions, local initiatives from IFRS reporting perspectiveMonitor progress of process supported by GFS team and review deliverables produced by GFS teamProvide support, guidance and technical advice to Group functions and business units for accounting and reporting matters, accounting changes as well as Group initiativesSupport review/audit by external auditors
 

Analytics and Reports

Implement and oversee analytical approaches and methodologiesPrepare financial reports and management reports with insightful analyses


Local business units support

Proactively work with local business units on accounting and reporting mattersSupport management reporting and planning from actual accounting and reporting perspectiveLiaise and be the point of contact with local business units for accounting and reporting matters

Others

Regular review of process owned and challenge the status quoLead/drive change projects or process enhancement, plan and deliver change in a timely and quality mannerSupport ongoing GFS management and process improvementOther ad hoc assignments upon management request


Minimum Job Requirements:

Sound IFRS knowledge and Experience with relevant professional qualificationsTeam, player, self-motivated, flexible and enjoy challengesOrganised, multi-tasking with proven problem solving and analytical skillsDemonstrated presentation and communications skills in bilingual settingProficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and PowerBI is a plus
