The Opportunity
We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Manager, International Tax located in either our Willis Tower, Chicago, IL or Abbott Park, IL location.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:
Key leadership role in the preparation, review, and filing of U.S. international tax returns, including identifying transactions that have tax ramifications.
Apply knowledge of recent tax reform concepts (GILTI, FDII, BEAT, etc.), as well as foreign tax credit and subpart F concepts, to assist in meeting the reporting requirements of the Company’s OUS operations.
Proactively research complex tax issues and be proficient in interpreting and applying the tax law, regulations, and cases to specific transactions and factual situations.
Review and development of complex tax models using Microsoft Excel.
Key leadership role in managing the company’s global tax compliance requirements.
Assist in the preparation and review of the annual and quarterly tax provision processes, including review and analysis of OUS tax provisions, analysis of tax accounts and reserves using Longview tax provision software. This includes in-depth knowledge of ASC 740 tax accounting and other necessary FASB pronouncements, as well as internal controls.
Critical role in tax audits, including providing information and research findings. Major player in strategy development, as it relates to specific issues and positions in the tax returns.
Apply highly advanced tax knowledge to support business needs. Considered an expert in the field and acts as an advisor to management. Contribute significantly to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards. Must be highly proficient in section 861 concepts, specifically as applied to foreign tax credits and FDII.
Provide leadership to direct reports. Demonstrate expertise in ability develop and train direct report(s). Promote an environment that encourages ongoing learning.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY/SCOPE:
Reports to Director International Tax. Has responsibility for direct reports(s). Key contact for senior management throughout the tax and finance organization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 8 years of international tax experience. Public Accounting or Fortune 500 corporate tax experience preferred.
B.A./B.S. in Accounting/Finance required. CPA and/or MST preferred, but not required.
The base pay for this position is $125,300.00 – $250,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
