POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member in the Financial Planning & Analysis team in Finance Department, this position will perform accounting functions that adhere to accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S. (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), specifically around the areas of capitalization of costs of internally developed software, tracking of operating/payroll costs and software licensing fees. This position will also be responsible for the review and analysis of the monthly IT departmental profit and loss statements globally. It is also essential in providing support to IT Management team to compose and communicate financial reporting and presentations to other Melco key stakeholders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the review and analysis of the monthly IT departmental profit and loss statements for MRE group.Perform accounting functions that adhere to accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S. (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), specifically around the areas of capitalization of costs of internally developed software, tracking of operating/payroll costs and software licensing fees.Consolidate financial data metrics for all reporting requirements. Provide accurate, timely and objective analysis of IT’s operating results and specific projects and the ability to present such analysis to Finance, Accounting, Executive Management, etc.Provide forecasting, cost/benefit analysis, rate of return analysis, equipment replacement cycles analysis, software user license counts, etc.Provide assistance with Financial Planning and forecasting for Information Services department in MRE group.Work with MRE / MRP / Cyprus Finance and Global IT Team in annual Budget and Forecast planning process.Responsible to collaborate with all necessary stakeholders to consolidate all required details for annual budget submission.Provide support to IT Management team to compose and communicate financial reporting and presentations to other MRE key stakeholders.QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
An average of 5 or more years previous related work experienceHospitality, Finance or related industry products desirableExperience in working with or within a Finance Department with a general understanding of IT related expendituresEducation
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or related discipline, or equivalent business experience, highly preferred.MBA or other related graduate-level degree is a plusSkills / Competencies
Must have demonstrated experience in defining budgets, financial planning, preparing accurate financial statements, working with Executive Management and Business Units in identifying critical requirements for local/global operations. Must have knowledge and experience using industry standard analytical tools such as Ms Excel, Access, etc. The candidate should have very strong technical accounting and finance skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of internal needs so that they can be transformed into operational requirements. Must be able to communicate effectively and understand Business Processes.Display good understanding of technical jargons.Must have strong communication and presentation skills and be an effective problem solver.
