Responsibilities The Senior Manager – IT Infrastructure is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, cloud services, and enterprise systems. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, strategic planning, and team leadership while actively contributing to day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will drive infrastructure reliability, security, and performance while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage the IT infrastructure team, providing guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support. Develop and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure strategies that align with business goals. Collaborate with IT and business leaders to ensure infrastructure supports organizational needs, growth, and acquisitions. Oversee infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and minimal disruption to business operations. Technical & Operational Responsibilities: Act as a hands-on technical leader, troubleshooting critical infrastructure issues and ensuring operational stability. Oversee the management of operations, integration, and scheduling tools (Ex. SMTP servers, Boomi, and SkyBot) Manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including data centers, networks, servers, storage, virtualization, and backup solutions. Oversee system monitoring, patching, and maintenance to ensure high availability and security. Implement and enforce IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards. Evaluate and recommend new technologies such as automation, to improve efficiency, scalability, and security. Support IT infrastructure in warehouse and manufacturing environments, ensuring high performance and reliability. Security, Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure IT infrastructure is compliant with industry regulations and internal security policies. Partner with security teams to implement best practices for protecting infrastructure against cyber threats. Conduct risk assessments and develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality solutions. Participate in contract and service agreement negotiations to optimize infrastructure investments. Oversee budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation for infrastructure initiatives. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with application, security, and end-user computing teams to provide a seamless IT experience. Support IT service desk teams in troubleshooting complex infrastructure-related issues. Provide technical expertise in IT projects, acquisitions, and integrations, ensuring infrastructure requirements are met. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7 - 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role. Strong firsthand experience with networks, servers, virtualization, telecommunications, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and storage solutions. Proven record in infrastructure modernization, automation, and cloud migration initiatives. Solid understanding of security best practices, compliance standards, and disaster recovery planning. Ability to manage, balance, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working in fast-paced, high-availability environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing IT infrastructure for acquisitions, warehouses, and manufacturing environments. Acquisition and iterative experience Industry certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, AWS/Azure Architect, or PMP. Experience managing hybrid environments and automation tools. Background in IT service management (ITSM) and process improvement initiatives. Key Success Factors: Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic leadership.
