GEICO is seeking an experienced Legal Administration Senior Manager to supervise daily administrative operations of the Legal Department across several offices, plan the most efficient administrative procedures, and help drive the associate experience. This role will lead a growing team of administrative professionals to complete a range of duties across the Legal Department.
A great administration manager has excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will become well-versed in developing departmental procedures and policies and will be able to actively discover new ways to do the job more efficiently. The goal is to ensure all support activities are carried on efficiently and effectively to allow the Legal Department to function productively.
Essential Functions:
Lead team of executive and administrative assistants, overseeing the flow of work within the administrative support team, ensuring that priorities are set, deadlines are met, and resources are efficiently utilized
Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and optimize administrative processes leading to overall department efficiency
Coordinate employee on/offboarding activities within the department with eye on continuous improvement and maximizing a positive employee experience
Assess staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure best-in-class support
Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the department to facilitate efficient operations
Organize employee engagement activities and gatherings to help develop a positive work environment
Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material, monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation
Oversee facilities services and maintenance activities to ensure office space is organized and meets the needs of the department
Organize and supervise other office activities (special projects, event planning, etc.)
Ensure administrative operations adhere to company policies and regulations
Basic Qualifications:
4-year degree in business, management, or related field
5+ years management experience
Experience managing administrative staff
Familiarity with financial and facilities management principles
Familiarity with project and change management principles
Strategic planning skills
An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Law firm or corporate legal department experience preferred
Location - Hybrid: This individual will be required to work onsite 3-4 days per week at our Chevy Chase, MD location.
Annual Salary
$151,700.00 - $235,750.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
