What you’ll need to succeed as a Senior Manager, Litigation Counsel at XPO
Minimum qualifications:
5 years of litigation experience with effective management of routine and complex litigation matters including case strategy, discovery, and resolution. Experience developing insightful, value-added, and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding the drivers of those results. Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and organizational skillsPreferred qualifications:
7+ years experience in litigation, including transportation litigation, management of outside counsel, and case management from outset to resolution, including trials and appeals. Significant experience in case strategy development, discovery, and motion practice. Experience with intellectual property matters, including UDRP and takedown demands. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, work independently, and drive matters to swift, favorable outcomes Experience composing thorough and detailed written technical documentation, procedures, manuals, etc Ability to produce unambiguous, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations. Effective organizational, leadership, and presentation skills. Strong business focus with demonstrated ability to act in partnership with management teams

What you’ll do on a typical day:
Ensure effective management of routine and complex transportation litigation matters. Oversee all aspects of assigned litigation matters, including case strategy, discovery, and resolution. Assist with the preparation of discovery demands and responses, and participate in witness deposition preparation. Supervise outside counsel and oversee case development. Manage case budgets, monitor performance, and ensure quality legal representation. Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide strategic advice on litigation issues. Draft and review internal memoranda, motion practice, and settlement agreements. Attend mediations and arbitrations of litigated matters to secure favorable outcomes. Represent the company in court as needed. Prepare for and attend trials. Manage and safeguard the company’s intellectual property, including handling Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) cases and takedown demands. Collaborate with IP counsel to enforce and protect IP rights. Work closely with various internal departments to provide legal support and ensure alignment between legal strategies and business goals. Provide advice and counsel to our environmental, health, and safety teams.#LI-Hybird
