Provide logistics leadership to Smurfit Westrock’s Mill’s business units to drive Cost Savings and Service improvement programs in Transportation and Warehousing within the Mill network. This individual will be the primary interface and subject matter expert and work closely with executive and operating management within the Containerboard and Consumer Mill network.  This individual is accountable for achieving budgeted Logistics expense, increasing service levels, and driving productivity opportunities across the Mill Division. 

General Responsibilities:

The main point of contact and responsible for the overall strategy and execution of world class and cost-effective logistics solutions that meet the expectations of the 22 Mills with logistics expense of 1.2 billion across 14 million tons shipped.  This includes all modes (truck, rail, export/container and intermodal) of transportation and the warehouse network.Establishing annual productivity objectives that are aligned with Smurfit Westrock strategic initiatives. Develop and implement creative logistics solutions as well as coordinate resources across the mill Division, Enterprise Logistics, I.T., and S&OP teams to drive productivity and improved operating performanceDevelop and mentor mill logistics management team through day-to-day engagement and semi-annual in person meetings.Subject matter experts on compliance to safe and approved loading methodologies within the business.        Working closely with the mill safety leadership team.Monitor business unit logistics key performance indicators (KPI’s) actual vs. target on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Provide variance analyses to determine causes and corrective actions.

Experience/Educational/Skill Requirements:
