The Logistics Strategy & Planning team’s Logistics Process Innovation Sr. Manager is responsible for identifying and closely managing process and systems innovation projects, including all steps of the project: gathering requirements, confirming executive alignment, facilitating progress for design and test, communicating ongoing status, and lead training and implementation activities. The candidate needs to have a good understanding of Project Management and deep Logistics Processes and Systems knowledge in the areas of Inbound, Outbound, Warehouse Management/Inventory Management, and Reverse Logistics operations. The best candidate will be able to thoroughly understand Samsung’s processes and systems and quickly identify and implement system and process design changes needed. The candidate must be able to communicate very well with systems teams (detailed technical discussions), operations teams (business processes and requirements discussions), and executives (cost and status discussions). The candidate also must be able to deliver excellent results every day, be highly focused, operate in a fast-paced environment, and be flexible to adjust to changing priorities each day as needed. Additional hours will usually be needed to ensure projects are delivered on time, accurately and thoroughly tested, and users are well-trained.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree required (Business Information Management or Engineering)10+ years of hands-on ERP and WMS/TMS experience required10+ years of Logistics experience required6+ years of Project Management experience6+ years of Process Improvement / Root cause analysis / Data Analysis experience6+ years of Consumer Electronics and Home Appliance industry experienceExceptionally skilled in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint)Experience communicating/working with Warehouse 3PLs, Finance teams, & Supply ChainSkilled in communicating status, requests, and analysis to executivesBilingual (Korean/English) is highly preferredExperience with planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple complex assignments and projects and successfully driving them to completion within highly aggressive timelinesProven success in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and data analytical skillsBe self-motivated, organized, and operate effectively with little direction.Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal more than 90 percent of the work time.Ability to work additional hours beyond normal schedule to meet project deadlines.Occasional travel to warehouses or other company/service provider locations for meetings; travel estimated at ~10 percent

The salary range for this role for candidates based in NYC/California is expected to be between $188,000 and $206,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience and comparison to other employees in the role.
