Senior Manager, Market Intelligence

We are actively searching for a Senior Manager, Market Intelligence to manage a team of analysts responsible for monitoring and reporting on our landscape for Inspire Brands and its key stakeholders. This individual will partner closely with the Senior Director, Market Intelligence, Data & Analytics, Commercial Group, Finance, as well as the brand teams and franchisees that support our portfolio of nearly 32,000 restaurants and over $30 billion of global systemwide sales.   

As Senior Manager, Market Intelligence, you will ensure that the team understands the holistic competitive landscape and provides a synthesized view and narrative on where the market is going, who is winning and why, and how we can continue to differentiate and strategically invest to build value.  

DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Manage the day-to-day activities, process, and timelines of the market intelligence team, ensuring deadlines and project objectives are met. Deliver synthesize actionable insights from internal and external company data by applying appropriate analytical techniques. Work with the Brand Analytics teams to build a strategic and integrated view of the market relative to our brands and consumers.  Develop near-real-time reports with actionable insights on competitors and industry dynamics.  Provide insight to various teams on a periodic cadence regarding industry trends and subsequent industry implications. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred) 

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Economics preferred or equivalent related experience and training.  

Experience:  

10+ years of market intelligence experience, preferably with experience in foodservice, CPG, or grocery. Proven experience in delivering crisp and synthesized work products. Public-company experience desired. 

Other Skills/ Abilities: 

Strong leadership ability and experience building, developing and leading teams. Market research experience across primary and secondary methodologies as well as knowledge of key analytical models and tools. Ability to understand and think strategically, integrating and balancing big-picture concerns with day-to-day activities. Proven ability to deliver results through insights and data. Demonstrated experience staying ahead of key competitor actions and their implications or threats to Inspire Brands portfolio. Experience quickly analyzing and then synthesizing key information from competitive earnings calls and reports that’s made both digestible and actionable for leadership teams. Understands and interpret financial results and analysis and develop appropriate recommendations.  Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Champions new ideas and initiatives and creates an environment that supports innovation; leverages fresh perspectives, breakthrough ideas, and new paradigms to create value in the market. Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all levels throughout the organization; can thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
