Responsible for driving customer engagement and brand loyalty, the right candidate will have experience leading teams, developing strategic agendas, and executing large-scale, full-funnel marketing campaigns. This role is _hybrid_ meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. _Monday_ and _Fridays_ are enterprise- wide _virtual work days_ . _Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday_ are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas. **Key** **Responsibilities** Lead development and execution of integrated, multi-channel direct response marketing strategies on a national scale to drive brand affinity and customer engagement, employing a combination of analytical, strategic, and customer-first mindset to deliver a bold agenda with substantive impact. Participate as a thought leader and marketing strategy lead in a collaborative cross-functional team (business partners, creative teams, legal, compliance, etc), and partner with them to provide strategic and tactical solutions that effectively drive stated outcomes. Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure marketing strategies deliver on intent. Ability to work in white space, navigating unknowns to articulate a problem statement and brainstorming approaches to solve novel problems. Communicates effectively to senior leaders, peers, and direct reports with a high degree of confidence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (specifically deck writing in Powerpoint/Google slides); leads storytelling and can adeptly craft it for different audiences without oversight. Inspires, empowers, and motivates direct reports. Proven ability to build teams, foster culture, and coach talent. Known as a rock steady presence and trusted advisor. Enables direct reports to shepherd multiple creative projects from brief to execution through our process, ensuring alignment across multiple stakeholders along the way. **_Basic Qualifications_** + Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience + At least 8 years of experience in in multi-channel marketing and communication, including direct response marketing + At least 8 years of experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs + At least 8 years experience in managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing marketing materials that drive results + At least 5 years of people management experience + At least 5 years experience in owned channel marketing (i.e. email, website, direct mail) **_Preferred Qualifications_** + Masters degree in marketing or business + 5+ years of experience driving strategic marketing plans and creative execution + 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity + 2+ years of experience in marketing for financial services or another highly regulated industry + Experience using CRM (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and self-service MarTech tools (e.g. Workfront, Taxi) a plus At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $172,900 - $197,300 for Sr. Manager, Marketing Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
