POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Marketing is responsible for:
Managing the delivery of the full suite of marketing services as required by the company as well as the continued development of the City of Dreams master-brand and its sub-brands;
Strategically solicit, recommend and implement advertising and promotional opportunities to reach the business goals of building quality database and growing stronger sales, and ultimately to achieve a healthy Return On Investment and visitations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the various marketing initiatives and projects to assist the business units to deliver their marketing requirements; comprehend and shape briefs, manage priorities and the schedule of marketing activities to achieve corporate objectives, ensuring consistency in communication style, branding and imageDevelop marketing and communications programs within the annual Business Plan ensuring effective and efficient utilisation of expenditure which assists in the achievement of revenue targets.Manage and communicate the master media schedule and the marketing activity plan to senior management on a regular basis.Develop and implement above-the-line and below-the-line advertising campaigns that maximize brands’ awareness and reinforce the brands’ positioning.Ensure effective relationships are established and maintained with key external advertising, media and branding agenciesManage all aspects of the annual budget and in conjunction with the Finance Analyst (Marketing) provide accurate monthly forecasts and reports.Manage Melco master-brand including and controlling the branding, appearance and placement of logos throughout the complex and ensure the appropriate interface of sub-brands.Work with partner brands to ensure all Melco communication adheres to their respective brand guidelines and appropriate approval processes are followed.Ensure all partner brand communications adheres to Melco brand guidelines and appropriate approval processes are followed.Manage, mentor and develop the Brands & Communications team, including the directing and setting of performance objectives to ensure key department and business objectives are achieved and succession requirements of direct reports are satisfied.Identify marketing opportunities and conduct negotiations with potential partners and manage the implementation of approved initiatives.Responsible for establishing and formulating partnership strategies within target segments and implement business plans that are in line with the business goals.Responsible for successfully integrating and leveraging on partnership development and marketing initiatives of all the business components of Melco and ensuring that these initiatives result in increased awareness, loyalty, revenue and profitability to the businesses involved.Lead the planning and implement joint promotions action plans, and monitor and communicate the results to the senior management team and stakeholders.QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience (please indicate minimum required and preferred experiences)
At least 8-10 years’ solid marketing management and leadership experienceExtensive experience in a related Marketing environment at a senior level.Proven experience and a good understanding of brand development strategies and management of joint promotions agreements.Extensive experience of writing creative briefs and managing internal and external relationships.Education (please indicate minimum and preferred academic requirements)
Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related area eg Bachelor of Marketing, Communications, Business or International Studies.MBA studies are an advantage.Skills / Competencies (please indicate requisite competencies that are qualified for the position)
Excellent communication skills with the confidence and professionalism to deal with people on all levels, including senior management.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to translate concepts into business opportunities.Ability to manage, mentor and develop a large team by motivating others to achieve business objectives and common goals along with encouraging people to work as a team.Ability to develop and build a strong network of contacts and have a strong experience of joint promotions management.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.Competent commercial acumen including budget management responsibilities.Ability to manage the full marketing mix including marketing services, branding and promotional partnerships.Competent computer literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.An excellent understanding of high end brands and how to deliver design and art for aspirational lifestyle brands.Passionate about their work and the role of branding and partnerships to deliver success.Strong time management and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on quality.Good written and verbal skills in English and Cantonese are essential.Strong Mandarin written and verbal skills are an advantage.
