**Job Description:**
We are searching for the best talent for a **Senior Manager, Medical Science Liaison (Ottava Robotics)** to support the Ottava platform. _This position will be fully on-site and must be located within a commutable distance of Santa Clara, CA or Cincinnati, OH_ . Relocation assistance is available to qualified candidates.
**Purpose** : In this role you will driving key initiatives in research, publications, medical education, and field intelligence between our J&J MedTech Surgery Scientific Affairs team and the academic/non-academic surgical community. This is a critical role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals, providing scientific expertise, supporting voice of customer efforts and identifying gaps in medical research and assist in defining Medical Affairs Strategy. You will participate and/or support special projects including: clinical trials, internal and external education, publication planning and execution. Your primary objective will be to bridge the gap between Johnson and Johnson and our surgeon users by maintaining thorough knowledge of our robotics platforms, as well as the current literature and data in robotic surgery.
**You will be responsible for** :
+ Develop and implement strategic engagement plans to establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, surgeons, operating room staff, and relevant medical societies in the surgical field.
+ Act as a scientific authority in robotic surgery, providing medical and scientific education to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Scientific Affairs, and Research and Development, to provide scientific input and insights to drive publication strategies.
+ Communicate complex scientific information effectively to healthcare professionals, ensuring a clear understanding of the benefits and clinical utility of our robotic surgical platforms e.g., provide clinical support during voice of customer sessions.
+ Stay up to date with the latest scientific research, medical publications, and emerging trends in robotic and minimally invasive surgery to provide up-to-date insights and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Deliver presentations and participate in scientific symposia, conferences, and educational programs to enhance awareness and understanding of our robotic surgical platforms.
+ Support clinical studies and research initiatives by providing scientific and technical expertise and maintaining open lines of communication to the external KOLs and authors.
+ Collaborate to provide scientific support for reimbursement strategies, formulary discussions, and health economics and outcomes research activities.
+ Facilitate medical information exchange and respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate and evidence-based information is shared.
+ Provide training and education to internal teams, including Sales and Marketing, to ensure a deep understanding of our robotics platforms and effective communication of scientific messages.
+ Participate in internal trainings from Professional Education, and Scientific Affairs University teams to ensure a deep and thorough understanding of our robotics platforms.
+ Organize, analyze, and review/report on customer, scientific, and market information on pre-launch and marketed products.
+ Develop educational materials and support programs for personnel.
+ Discuss Investigator Initiated and Collaborative study concepts with clinicians.
**Qualifications/Requirements** :
+ Advanced Degree in Life Science ( _MD, PhD, PharmD, MB, PA/NP or equivalent_ ) **required** .
+ Minimum 2+ years professional Medical Science Liaison or related experience in Clinical, Research, OR, or related Pharm role **required** .
+ Extensive knowledge of robotic surgery **required** , multiple sub-specialties _strongly preferred_ .
+ In-depth knowledge of robotic surgery, and insights within the surgical space.
+ Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies, regulatory guidelines, and medical terminology.
+ Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
+ Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data quickly and accurately.
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
+ Highly self-motivated, independent, and adaptable to changing priorities and environments.
+ Excellent computer skills, especially with the use of Microsoft Office.
+ Willingness to travel extensively to participate in scientific meetings, conferences, and visit key accounts ( _domestic and international travel up to 25%_ ).

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750 based on experience. The anticipated base pay range for this position in the Santa Cara market is $168,000 to $271,400 based on experience. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

+ Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

+ Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
