Position Purpose:
The Senior Manager, MET Programs will be responsible for managing programs and large scale, complex projects in support of the Merchandise Execution Teams (MET) strategic initiatives. These projects encompass developing business process initiatives that drive value to the Home Depot.
The Senior Manager, MET Programs will be responsible for the creation of business cases, process flows and project plans. Projects to be managed will include the creation of new business models and service offerings, market analysis, and business process validation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to managing third party relationships, leading project teams and direct reports, working with suppliers on new programs, assessing costs and benefits, creating project plans managing project risk factors, and identifying trends in business and the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
35% Identify opportunities to improve the business through analytics, process reengineering and management of 3PLs for resets and assembly20% Provide overall management and support for multiple concurrent projects on time and on budget. Analyze key metrics to evaluate program performance .20% Develop, coach, and train direct reports to deliver results consistent with strategy and delivering value to The Home Depot.15% Establish strong relationships with MET field teams, suppliers and cross-functional store support center partners to drive process improvements and deliver on established operational goals10% Participate in strategic planning, benchmark key processes against other retailers and Merchandising Service Organizations, Plan resources in order to complete competing priorities within the provided timeframe and develop all related processes and timelines.

Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing direct reports.Previous management of third party vendors.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Strong multi-program management skills with experience in organizing, prioritizing,planning, and executing multiple high visibility, large scale programs with suppliersfrom definition through implementation and deployment.Must exhibit the ability to balance multiple initiatives in parallel and function in anautonomous manner in a rapidly changing environment.
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
