Role Overview

A Migration Solution Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the entire cloud migration process, ensuring that the organization's applications, data, and infrastructure are moved to the cloud efficiently and securely. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that cloud migrations are executed smoothly, cost-effectively, and securely, enabling organizations to leverage the benefits of cloud computing.

What will you do in this role

Conduct a thorough assessment of the existing IT environment to determine migration readiness.

Develop a detailed migration strategy and roadmap tailored to the organization's needs.

Design a target cloud architecture that meets performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.

Create blueprints and technical specifications for the migration. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Lead the migration process, including data transfer, application rehosting, replatforming, or refactoring.

Contribute to capacity modelling and planning while supporting the design of service component capacity.

Continuously monitoring and optimizing the cloud environment for performance, cost-efficiency, and resource utilization.

Work within a matrix organizational structure, reporting to both the functional manager and the project manager.

Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with both functional and project goals.

What should you have

Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream.

7+ years of hands-on experience working with technologies – any cloud platform, Windows or Linux, any scripting language and cloud security frameworks 

Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other cloud platforms.

Networking: Understanding of virtual networks, VPNs, and firewalls.

Operating Systems: Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Scripting and Automation: Skills in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Security Best Practices: Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and compliance.

Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Product and customer-centric approach.

Experience with other programming language (Python, Java) is a nice to have.
