Data Analytics & ReportingThis is a new role to support the development of centralized net interest income forecasting leveraging QRM.
Develops SQL queries to source actual new origination spreads for the Parent Bank non-trading balance sheet primarily from a Treasury staging database.Works with finance and business stakeholders to understand scenario dependent changes to spreads.Works with Treasury QRM architecture team or QRM to implement scenario dependent changes in spreads in the QRM framework rather than Excel spreadsheets.Sources economic factors, market variables, and funds transfer pricing rates from stakeholder groups, such as Quantitative Analytics, BMO Economics, and central stress testing and forecasting. Works with these stakeholders to develop a streamlined, repeatable process.Responsible for loading these rates into QRM and understanding their impact on results.Analyzes results from QRM and summarizes key findings.Documents data flow, systems and processes to improve the design, implementation and management of business/group processes.Develops tools and delivers training programs for use of reporting tools and self-serve analytics by non-analytical end users; may include delivery of training to audiences.Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.Implements changes in response to shifting trends.Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.Qualifications:
Advanced level of proficiency:
Must currently perform SQL queries on a regular basisExpert knowledge in retail and commercial banking productsExpert knowledge in market and economic ratesExperience with financial reporting, forecasting, or analysisCurrent experience with QRM considered an asset, but not requiredVerbal & written communication skills.Analytical and problem solving skills.Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration.Able to manage ambiguity.Data driven decision making.Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.Salary:
$84,000.00 - $156,000.00Pay Type:

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
