Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Manager, Neurodiagnostics - Epilepsy Center.

In this role, the successful candidate Under the guidance of the System Director, Hospitals Regulatory and Policy Management, the Neurodiagnostics Senior Manager is responsible for the operations and administrative support for all modalities of Neurodiagnostics across divisions and departments at all inpatient and outpatient sites in Manhattan.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervises clinical staff to ensure the smooth functioning of all Neurodiagnostic departments and divisions.  Establishes work hours for employees, assigns responsibilities, and monitors work productivity.  Liaisons with departmental management at all sites regarding any performance, discipline or termination issues.  Coordinates any personnel issues associated with employment and grievance procedures in coordination with departmental leadership.  Ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures.  Supervises Electrodiagnostic and EEG Medical Secretaries, Equipment Attendant the Neurodiagnostic Supervisor and Electrodiagnostic Office Manager. Interviews and hires staff.  Budget Preparation - Prepares annual operating budget according to established finance guidelines. Maintains budget performance relative to target.  Reviews finance reports and makes certain that all entries are correct, rectifies any noted discrepancies, and explains any variances. Monitors expenses.  Policies and Procedures - establishes and administers policies and procedures for all Neurodiagnostics modalities. Ensures policies and procedures are kept up to date. Establishes systems to communicate any policy or procedural change to all departmental staff and other NYU Langone Hospitals personnel as required. Understands what the departmental goals are and sets objectives in order to reach them.  Financial Management - Participates in cost control activities by seeking the most effective method of delivering Neurodiagnostic services. Understands relevant diagnosis codes and billing practices. Monitors the effectiveness of the billing system and recommends adjustments accordingly.  Regulatory Compliance - Ensures compliance with all regulatory guidelines and accreditation standards. Ensures adherence to the applicable standards for the Joint Commission on accreditation of Hospitals as well as applicable Federal, State, and City regulations, ACNS, AANEM, ABRET and NAEC.  Quality Assurance - Monitors and maintains an operational quality assurance program. Reviews the departments services on a regular basis to ensure the quality of services. Attends Quality and Safety meetings or activities as necessary. Patient Satisfaction - Reviews and responds to patient complaints in coordination with the Patient Experience office.  Data Management - Tracks and trends all operational, quality and patient satisfaction metrics, and identifies opportunities for improvement.  Produces regular reports for leadership around operations of all modalities of neurodiagnostics across departments and divisions, Monitors patient volumes; reviews and reports major variances. Educational Programs: Develops educational programs and partnerships with external programs and colleges to ensure continued pipeline of trained individuals for Neurodiagnostics in the NY region and across the NYU Langone Health system. Oversight of clinical school affiliation and monitors the progress of students. Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences or related field required. Advanced neurodiagnostic specialist qualification such as CLTM, CMEG, or Neuroanalyst preferred. Minimum of three years management, preferably in hospital operations. Proficient in the use common business productivity software including Microsoft Office. Effective oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 - $195,179.92 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
