The Senior Manager of NPI Project Management (PMO) will lead the strategic execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs across the Enclosures segment. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing project and program management processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and optimizing project execution and delivery. The Director will work closely with business unit leaders, product management, and engineering leaders to drive direction on project selection, prioritization, and execution, ensuring resources are aligned to meet key business objectives across all business units within the segment.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in driving standardized methodologies, improving resource efficiency, managing risks, and fostering continuous improvement to deliver successful NPI outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global project management team specializing in NPI program execution. Set strategic goals aligned with organizational vision, develop a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, and empower the team to drive excellence in project delivery.
- Project Portfolio Management: Collaborate with key partners to drive the selection and prioritization of NPI projects, connected to our strategic objectives and business goals.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner closely with business units, engineering, product management, and operations teams to ensure alignment of project priorities, resources, and timelines, facilitating seamless execution of programs.
- NPI Execution and Delivery: Oversee end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring on-time delivery, within scope, and on budget while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
- Standardization and Methodology: Develop, implement, and maintain standardized project and program management methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure consistent execution across NPI projects.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize resource planning and allocation across projects, balancing capacity dynamically to meet changing business priorities and ensure effective utilization.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project and program performance ensuring visibility and accountability.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate risks to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth execution of projects and programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including general managers, engineering leaders, and product teams, providing regular updates and aligning expectations on project status, milestones, and strategic priorities.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous evaluation and enhancement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and scalability of programs.
- Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to organizational governance frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements across all NPI projects.
- Design Quality Assurance: Champion quality assurance processes to ensure all NPI deliverables meet required standards and customer expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred (MBA, Master’s in Engineering).
- 10+ years of experience in program/project management, with a strong focus on NPI programs and cross-functional leadership.
- Consistent record in leading large-scale, complex projects and driving successful product introductions.
- Proficiency in and demonstrated expertise in implementing and scaling PMO practices, tools, and processes.
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project/program management certifications.
- Experience in governance frameworks, compliance with regulatory standards, and risk management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to drive efficiency and optimize project outcomes.
- Outstanding ability to lead cross-functional teams, optimize resource utilization, and prioritize projects effectively.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering-focused organizations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills to foster collaboration and drive alignment.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%, including internationally) for team and customer engagement.

**Pay Transparency**
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
**Compensation Range:**
$146,300.00 - $271,700.00
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
