Summary:
The Senior Manager, Patient Access Support Services is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of marketing materials for the BMS Access Support Program as well assisting in the day-to-day management of program operations. The individual will work collaboratively with the Oncology and Hematology Program Strategy leads to create and implement program strategies and resources as well as innovative hub capabilities to deliver a best-in-class patient support program. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys thinking creatively, possesses strong organizational skills, and can handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Associate Director, Patient Access Marketing, Hematology.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the development of the patient access strategy of the inline BMS Hematology portfolio and patient access launch lead for new Hematology products into the BMS Access Support program.
Partners with Access Marketing and Associate Director of Above Brand PASS strategy on market research of new patient access strategies for assigned brands, including but not limited to, benchmarking of program offerings from competitors, market dynamics that will impact patient access for assigned brands, HCP/Patient executional plan, and enhanced hub capabilities.
Develop program launch execution plan as part of launch master planning with PASS, internal matrix teams (i.e., Brand), and external vendors
Monitor the healthcare landscape for any policy reforms and changes that may impact access & reimbursement to the BMS Hematology portfolio and lead the development of any Hematology strategies and tactics for hub and Access & Reimbursement (ARM) Team to address the evolving marketplace.
Assists with the day to day to hub operations for our hematology brands and hold vendors accountable for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) defined in contracts and seek out both quantitative and qualitative data (e.g., program feedback, program data)
Assists in the evaluation of industry best practices across Hematology in the areas of reimbursement and affordability programs, through market research, surveys, and field feedback.
Works with external an internal business partners including Hub vendors, Agency of Record (AOR), WWCC, PreP reviewers, Reimbursement & Affordability Strategy and Operations, Trade Sales, Learning and Development, Reimbursement Sr. Director/, and field teams to systematically assess performance of support services and prioritize as needed.
Attends industry conferences and congress meetings to gain a better understanding of what is happening in the marketplace to inform on hub program design and possible enhancements.
Help develop and maintain project plans, budget trackers, and metrics, ensuring adherence to BMS policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Learning and Development to support training initiatives.
Works closely with the Associate Director of PASS operations on Hematology/Oncology & PASS meeting planning including POA meetings and other national meetings.
Provides operational support to ARM team including but not limited to field capabilities support, communications, and strategic planning.
Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of BMS
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required with a minimum of 2-3 years in pharmaceuticals and/or related healthcare experience. Market Access, Reimbursement Strategy, and or patients support hub related experience required; prior management experience preferred but not required.
Demonstrated performance in the following skills: project management, data analytics, mobilizing matrix team members and embracing teamwork in cross functional environment.
Experience working with a company’s materials approval process (i.e., PReP, VEEVA Promo mats)
Understanding patient support programs such as reimbursement support, co-pay, and patient assistance
Strong analytical, strategic leadership skills, communication, project management and presentation skills are required, along with the ability to present complex information to multiple stakeholders
Act with a sense of accountability and urgency, while collaborating closely with others across a highly complex matrix.
