Senior Manager, Physical Therapy
About the Role We’re looking for a dynamic clinical operations leader to join our Physical Therapy (PT) leadership team. This role will be a key leader in building our rapidly expanding PT organization as our physical therapists continue innovating on the delivery of musculoskeletal care enabled by advanced technology. The PT leadership team is responsible for motivating and enabling physical therapists to perform the best work of their careers. The Senior Manager, PT oversees the development and performance for a team of Physical Therapy Managers and their direct reports, ensuring safety, quality, compliance, and clinical rigor. You have a track record of operational excellence and will drive the team towards consistently meeting or exceeding service level agreements and delivering Best in Class services through demonstrated quality, customer service, and financial metrics. This role partners closely with Quality Management, Learning & Development, Product, and other cross-functional teams to achieve key results for the PT organization. The ideal candidate would be: A candidate who has been part of building and leading large clinical operations teams Strong track record demonstrating high employee engagement and ability to develop, coach and mentor front line managers Leads comfortably through ambiguous environment and drives change throughout an organization Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly collaborative with cross-functional partners and acts with a bias for decisions and results What You'll Accomplish Lead a team of Physical Therapy Managers who collectively oversee 60-100+ high performing Physical Therapists who deliver innovative digital MSK care. You will drive high employee engagement and a positive work culture. Help good employees become great. Strengthens the PT Managers’ operational management and leadership skills and supports ongoing growth and professional development. Provide warm, continuous feedback, celebrate wins and don’t shy away from discussing challenges. Facilitate continual process improvement of our Physical Therapy operations, including the member and and employee experience, to enhance performance of key business and clinical metrics, member engagement and satisfaction. Lead program and service delivery changes across the Physical Therapy organization, bridging the gap between leadership and project teams as the subject matter expert in Physical Therapy operations. Basic Qualifications Clinical operations and management experience: We are looking for proven leaders with 4-7 years of healthcare management experience, preferably with 2+ years having managed other leaders. You have led fast-moving clinical operations while balancing business metrics, clinical outcomes, fiscal responsibility, and employee experience. Operational Improvement: Takes initiative using data and qualitative feedback to identify operational improvements that will help drive key business outcomes. Leads team in the design and execution of experiments to drive continual operational improvements at scale. Results-oriented leadership: You have a track record of leading large teams and leaders to consistently achieve or surpass Key Performance Indicators. Change agile: Aptitude for technology and troubleshooting, quick learner, highly adaptable. Handles ambiguity well, embraces the opportunity to ask questions, get clarity and thrives in a fast paced, continually changing environment. Mentors team in change management at the individual and organizational level. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or other relevant clinical licensure Experience in digital health and/or leading clinicians in a remote, distributed environment Experience leading operational projects that require a high degree of change management Compensation This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
