Senior Manager, Product Development Engineering

We are now looking for a Datacenter Baseboards Product Development Engineering Manager. NVIDIA Corporation is a world leader in visual computing and artificial intelligence technology. The GPU, which the company invented, serves as the visual cortex of modern computers and is at the heart of their products and services. NVIDIA has transformed into a niche platform company that targets four large markets – Gaming, Professional Visualization, Datacenter and Automotive – where visual computing is essential and deeply valued. Their work also uncovers new universes to explore and enable outstanding creativity and discovery by powering what was once thought to be science fiction inventions like artificial intelligence and autonomous cars! Collaborating with your peers across various engineering groups, you will successfully launch new NVIDIA HGX and MGX AI Supercomputing Platforms to production. These purpose-built systems bring together the full power of NVIDIA GPUs, NVIDIA NVLink, NVIDIA CPUs, and NVIDIA InfinBand networking. With its end-to-end performance and flexibility, NVIDIA HGX and MGX enable researchers and scientists to combine simulation, data analytics, and AI to drive scientific progress. This product family represents the company’s fastest growing line of business as well as its largest total available market opportunity.

We are looking for a product development engineering manager with deep technical expertise to drive key aspects of product engineering operations and technology for our enterprise and datacenter platforms. This leader will have meaningful system level experience that includes CPU and/or GPU, signal integrity and high-speed interconnects, memories (HBM2e/3, GDDR5, etc.), FPGAs, cybersecurity, system reliability, server RAS features and high power air-cooled and liquid-cooled thermal solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

In this capacity you will manage a team and be responsible for a series of products from NPI and into MP ramp; your role would be to ensure successful production ramps are achieved working through a large matrixed team.

You'll be able to specify the manufacturing test methodology for datacenter products; refine, revise and overhaul test and manufacturing flows; collaborate with test engineering to specify and develop new testers and infrastructure that meet production requirement targets.

We work closely with architecture, hardware, software and other product engineering teams to improve manufacturing tests, production yields and cycle times; your team will drive debug efforts across functional groups to successful closure and towards continued yield improvement.

Be ready to be challenged to assess the impact of new hardware features to the manufacturing process; you will help drive new methodologies that will scale in the factory environment and meet production ramp schedules.

We cultivate a deep understanding of NVIDIA's hardware and software architecture.

What we need to see:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical and/or computer engineering or equivalent experience.

Strong engineering background with proven understanding of first principles and deep expertise in hardware development.

15+ overall years of demonstrated experience with datacenter server platforms, high speed interconnects, memories, PCBA development concepts, hardware/software interaction, power and cooling.

Successful leading complex projects with geographically diverse and large teams.

Proven self-initiative, interpersonal skills, and flexibility to adapt to new technology.

Strong problem solving and debugging expertise; track record of institutionalizing root-cause analysis.

8+ years people management skills and team building experience!
