Senior Manager, Program Management

The Sr. Manager, Program Management (SME – Individual Contributor) will initiate, plan, execute, control and manage all aspects of program(s) to ensure ultimate program success.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Develop a high-level plan for the program and manage program change to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts

• Manage large scale to enterprise-wide program(s)

• Facilitate the creation and approval of business cases within the program, and coordinate the sharing and prioritization of resources among projects

• Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and communicate program status and data to maintain accurate and current program information to stakeholders

• Obtain approval for the program and actively manages program benefits and issues in partnership with key stakeholders

• Establish and maintain program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications, both internal and external to the organization

• Own one or more Project Management Office (PMO) continuous improvement activities

• Identify and evaluate process improvement and/or course correction/course alignment opportunities

• Manage project closure activities, including gathering lessons learned and driving changes for continuous improvement

• Serve as a project and program management subject matter expert, including guiding and mentoring project managers and develops expertise in a business process, professional discipline

• Other incidental duties

What you’ll need (Required):

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 10 years of hands-on experience managing projects and/or programs of increasing complexity OR

• Master's Degree in a related field and 8 years of hands-on experience managing projects and/or programs of increasing complexity

• Ability to travel 10-25%

What else we look for (Preferred):

• PMP Certification through “PMI”

• Demonstrated experience in Project Management methodology

• Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management systems

• Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

• Recognized as an expert in own area within the organization

• Expert understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to managing multiple projects within an overall program

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

• Excellent understanding and work experience with project budgets and financial management

• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence change

• Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders

• Experience within a regulated environment

• Strict attention to detail

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

• Ability to work and excel within a fast- paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California, the base pay range for this position is $133,000 to $187,000 (highly experienced).
