Purpose of Role

Senior Manager, Accounting APAC
The Sr. Manager, Accounting - APAC will manage all accounting activities to ensure compliance with Under Armour accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. This includes, but is not limited to, management of accounts payable processes, cash flow processes, and monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports in support of final financial statements. This role is based in Hong Kong and will report to and work closely with the Director, Regional Controller – APAC. Cross-functional partnership with others in the organization is critical in this role in analysis and reconciliation of accounts, and in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls. The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results.

Sr. Manager, Accounting
Under Armour Europe is seeking a Senior Manager Accounting to join its Finance team based in Amsterdam. This position serves as a critical accounting role who will supervise the EMEA Accounting Team through the monthly and quarterly close process. Additionally, the manager will lead and coordinate with the team through compliance with various internal reporting and analyses while ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and US GAAP, SEC standards and Sarbanes Oxley.  This role will have direct oversight over the general accounting team in EMEA.

Support accounting and finance teams in our Americas region as Senior Manager, Accounting - Americas, in Baltimore overseeing the monthly accounting close process within region, while adhering to the main pillars of Under Armour.

Senior Manager, Accounting APAC

Lead accounting transformation initiatives including robotics process automation, close efficiency and enhanced partnerships with software providers Advocate for and support global accounting IT projects  Perform accounting research related to emerging issues impacting to business and memorialize findings in accounting white papers and memorandums Oversees end to end ownership of significant accounting processes to ensure consistent and accurate results Effectively communicate monthly results Perform ad-hoc analyses for and/or provide information to and advise, as appropriate, other accounting and finance teammates and key stakeholders Develop and coaches a team of inspired teammates Work closely with FP&A partners to review actuals and develop detailed accurate forecasts Develop and maintains strong partnerships with Key Stakeholders to facilitate and maintain consistent and accurate financial data

Sr. Manager, Accounting

Oversee the daily accounting operations, including execution of operational accounting policy and general ledger responsibilities in adherence to Under Armour policies and US GAAP Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring financial results are complete, prepared, materially correct and reported to executive management  Perform accounting functions as assigned, including, but not limited to, bookkeeping, reviewing of financial information, preparing and posting journal entries, and preparing account reconciliations  Responsible for supervising the annual account preparation and various audit inquiries Overview and manage relationship with the external advisors Collaborate with business partners to support new initiatives such as new markets entry and launch of new product lines Provide expertise on the implementation of accounting policies and the accounting for complex transactions Support standardization and improvement of the reporting processes  Support the Under Armour Corporate team on ad hoc issues and improvement projects where required Lead and develop the team of junior and senior accountants 

Sr. Manager, Accounting – Americas

Own monthly and quarterly close processes in SAP for the Americas region (US, Canada, Mexico, and Latin America distributors) and ensure adherence to the close calendar Lead transformational change within the Americas Accounting team around automation, accounting policies and procedures Provide support to Global internal and external audit activities including providing deliverables to support the USGAAP audit Owner for Americas Accounting SOX Narratives and internal controls Responsible for the timely and accurate annual accounting filings and statutory audits for all Americas legal entities including supporting the Company’s change in fiscal year-end Oversight of critical judgements & estimates around returns & allowances, discounts, markdowns, allowances for doubtful accounts, etc. Oversee accounting areas including revenue, dilution, licensing, leases, payroll, etc. Own the maintenance, structure and continued enhancement of Blackline, the Company’s accounting close software solution Respond to inquiries from senior finance team members regarding financial results and special reporting requests  Support Global Training Initiatives and the standardization of accounting processes based upon Global standards Support the Director, Controller – Americas with ad-hoc requests
  Qualifications

ALL 

Bachelor's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience OR typically 14 years of relevant experience without degree Typically 3 - 5 years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise. 

Senior Manager, Accounting APAC

Proficient in PC applications (e.g. Excel, Microsoft Office) Fundamental knowledge of US GAAP is a must CPA required

Sr. Manager, Accounting

Proven track of working with leaders from across geographies and managing the deliverables under a fast-changing expectation with accurate quality in a matrix environment. Familiarity with corporate financial accounting systems (SAP experience preferred) Fluency in English is a must, while other European language is also an advantage 8+ years' work experience in accounting and/or finance (preferably including Audit experience), financial consulting with strong project management skills, in a high-growth dynamic operating environment, preferably including experience in a global public company. Consideration will also be given to a suitably qualified person looking to make their first move into industry from practice Extensive knowledge of (US) GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Sr. Manager, Accounting – Americas

7-10 years’ work experience in public or corporate accounting (mix preferred) Proven knowledge of managing the monthly close process Experience with an advanced ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred Active CPA license required Ability to manage annual audits with external public accountants Workplace Location Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our (enter location) office.  $135,354.00 - $186,111.20 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
