The position will be in Titusville, NJ; Spring House, PA; Raritan, NJ.  Other locations may be considered as needed. Position Overview: Senior Manager, Purchasing Oversight will manage a team responsible for the setup, maintenance and closure of purchase orders for the Global Development organization. The Senior Manager will become integral to existing processes as well as be accountable for identifying and driving strategic initiatives relevant to purchase order oversight. The Senior Manager, Partnership Accountability will be a key member of the Partnership Accountability Team and be accountable for integrating business operations activities for purchase orders and invoicing across Partnerships. The Senior Manager will report to the Executive Director, Partnership Accountability and will collaborate closely with members of the Partnership Accountability team, Partnerships organization, and key functional and business leaders across J&J IM. Associate Director title may be considered based on IMRD Career Ladder. Key Responsibilities: + Manage the of the end-to-end creation, maintenance, reconciliation, and closure of purchase orders in collaboration with key stakeholders from Finance, Legal, Procurement, Global Development, Therapeutic Areas, etc. + Creating or identify opportunities for strategic improvements that optimize the setup, maintenance, & closure of purchase orders (oversight, contract expectations/adjudication and escalation pathways). + Establish and maintain data integrity requirements. Enable the use of data as a means for issue resolution and risk management. + Establish connection points with regards to Johnson & Johnson systems, process owners to optimize relevant activities and gain insights towards industry trends. + Be a primary contributor to issue identification, review, and resolution of purchase order oversight processes. + The person in this role will be transparent and an effective change agent for global initiatives and will seek to provide strategic decision-making for all areas of responsibility while championing the ideas of others. + Long-term strategy, including partnership optimization and continuous improvement/change management. + Be a point of escalation for commercial and business operations issue resolution and mitigation. + Serve as a visible and effective change agent for global initiatives and will seek to provide strategic decision-making for all areas of responsibility while nurturing the ideas of others. + Serve as a global champion and leader for staff change management and engagement strategy, continuous improvement projects. + Travel: Up to 10% domestic and potential international travel. **Qualifications** Minimum Qualification: + A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably Business Management and/or Finance. + A minimum of 8 years of related industry experience is required. + Solid understanding of R&D sourcing strategies, procurement practices, invoice compliance standards, supplier/vendor contracting and financial benefit analysis. + Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to drive budget accountability, global alignment, efficiency, and quality is required. + Familiarity with complex data structure and the ability to succinctly analyze data for effective testing, evaluation and prioritization. + Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, networking skills, a high level of organizational ability, and attention to detail is required. + Demonstrated ability to develop and lead the execution of strategy and business transformation initiatives is preferred. + Ability to translate data into information/strategies and executable action plans is required. + Ability to provide transformational and strategic leadership is required. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
