What you will be doing:
Join our dynamic team at Tangerine Bank and play a crucial role in managing and supporting the successful delivery of regulatory projects. As a Senior Manager, Regulatory Program Delivery, you will oversee simple to complex regulatory initiatives involving multiple teams across the bank. You will ensure alignment between stakeholders, manage budgets, schedules, risks, issues, and governance of projects. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will contribute to the overall success of Tangerine Bank by ensuring that all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Manage and ensure the successful delivery of regulatory initiatives across Tangerine Bank, involving multiple teams from different groups, Scotiabank, and external vendors. Integrate inputs from multiple stakeholders to establish and manage a project's consolidated scope, schedule, and budget. Support business case creation and SIP submissions by managing and consolidating teams' scope definition, UX and technical design, estimation, and forecasting inputs. Track and manage project risks, issues, action items, and key decisions across the program. Lead project teams to ensure alignment and manage dependencies between workstreams. Report project status to multiple stakeholder groups, including Technology, business lines, and executive leadership. Manage and report project and finance requirements, including milestones tracking, risk tracking, managing funding (OP), budget forecasting, accruals, and reconciliation. Ensure risks are mitigated and teams are supported to complete their work effectively. Follow change management processes for changes in scope, schedule, and cost, managing Project Change Notices and Change Requests. Escalate risks and issues that cannot be resolved within the project team. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with project and business team peers. Engage compliance stakeholders (e.g., risk, legal, audit) as needed throughout the project.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
Strong knowledge of Agile methodology for delivering IT projects, ideally with a Certified Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM). Expert knowledge of project management practices, disciplines, tools, and methodologies, ideally with a Project Management Professional certification (PMI PMP). Strong budget management and forecasting experience. Excellent knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Canadian Banking business units and related support functions. Current awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in operational risk. Thorough knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Project Management Professional certification (PMI PMP) and/or Certified Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM) is an asset. University degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in financial services.
