As a Senior Manager, Community Development Investment Underwriter you will underwrite, close, and assist in managing Renewable Energy Tax Credits (RETC) investments, a new Bank product. You will collaborate with Bank colleagues and external partners responsible for making RETC investments by managing an outsourced due diligence model, gathering and reviewing due diligence documents, and assisting with day-to-day oversight of the RETC investment portfolio. You will also have the opportunity expand your knowledge by underwriting Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) investments and other community development products.

What you have

Required qualifications:

5+ years of investing in tax credits, with expertise in RETC investmentsDemonstrated experience in originating, underwriting, negotiating, structuring, or managing RETC, LIHTC or other community development investmentsBachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in finance, investments, real estate, or accounting.

 

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in investing in LIHTC and community development finance, real estate, or other commercial lending highly preferred Proficiency in building, maintaining, and using financial models in Excel that will enhance the efficiency and accuracy of investment tools and processesFinancial document analysis skills including credit analysis of financial documents for large US and multinational corporationsExperience taking initiative and working within a team while assuming a high level of responsibility and completing tasks under critical timelines with limited direct supervisionSuperior judgment, attention to detail, and quantitative skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver clear and concise investment recommendationsStrong analytical and deal execution skills with the ability to multi-taskAdvanced degree (MBA, CFA charter holder or candidate, advanced accounting or taxation degree, JD or equivalent)

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
