Senior Manager, Rentals and Retail Marketing

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Rentals and Retail Marketing will lead the marketing strategy for Vail Resorts’ Rentals and Retail business across our top 12 Destination resorts, the Epic Mountain Rentals brand, and Epic Mountain Gear stores. This role is integral in driving growth and demand capture for our product lines.

 

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in product marketing, omnichannel strategy, and go-to-market planning. Strong business acumen, analytical skills, project management expertise, and leadership in cross-functional teams are key for success. The ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with agility, optimism, and strong prioritization is essential.

 

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

Develop & Execute Data-Driven Marketing Strategies
Create and execute product marketing strategies for Rentals and Retail businesses to achieve both short-term demand capture and long-term growth. Analyze Business Performance
Monitor and understand key business metrics and performance trends. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership to optimize marketing initiatives. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
Work closely with Product, Operations, Analytics, Finance, Guest Insights, and other marketing teams to drive initiatives forward and ensure alignment. Lead Go-To-Market Plans
Own the creation and execution of Rentals and Retail, Branded, and Resort go-to-market plans, using audience data, personalized messaging, and testing. Influence and align with cross-functional business leaders on strategy and plans. Evaluate channel performance and optimize strategies in collaboration with partner teams. Creative Asset Management
Oversee the planning and creation of new creative assets, including images, video, and post-production work, ensuring alignment with business needs. Manage Cross-Functional Projects
Lead high-visibility projects, driving action and fostering strong partnerships across teams. Leverage Data for Insights and Strategy
Use behavioral data and guest insights to identify opportunities, build data-driven stories, and gain trust from leadership and key stakeholders. Team Leadership
Manage and develop a team of direct reports, helping them achieve business goals, manage workloads, and grow professionally.

 

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience Minimum 5 years of product and/or channel marketing experience with revenue and/or P&L accountability. Proven experience in hiring, developing, and managing direct reports. Experience in a matrixed environment or retail product marketing (both digital and B&M) is preferred Skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from business performance data. Expertise in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple projects. Understanding of omnichannel metrics, including email, digital, and paid media best practices.

Ability to take initiative, drive work both independently and strong delegation, to achieve goals. Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and energy. Skilled at leveraging business data to identify opportunities and needs. Some travel to resorts or retail and rental locations may be necessary.

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
