We are looking for a talented, creative, and enthusiastic person to join BILL’s Risk Management Organization. This role will report to the Senior Director, Risk Portfolio Management and will work closely with cross functional teams and leaders to create, implement, and manage Bill’s Risk related experiences and exposures related to Risk vulnerabilities across different channels. 

This person will be responsible for identifying external and internal opportunities, as well as building and maintaining new/enhanced strategies in collaboration with cross functional teams to operationalize. This position requires a person who has experience applying data-backed approaches to inform insights, influence stakeholders on relative priorities, strategic thinking, people management, strong interpersonal communications and driving initiatives.

Expectations of this role:

Lead, manage and develop analytically driven team members with a high degree of success and be accountable for the performance and results of your direct team Utilize data-backed approaches to build and implement best-in-class customer experiences specific to risk related actions/events Push the boundaries of identifying and resolving risk related vulnerabilities through building a cross functional, collaborative and impactful operating model Design and implement highly efficient and effective frameworks that will enhance user experiences with respect to Risks’ communications and data products/tools Lead the assessment of risk experiences across various products and segments while incorporating BILL level exposure at the customer level. This involves analyzing risk actions/events, customer behaviors and segment/product trends to identify potential risks and opportunities. Develop monitoring scorecards and dashboards to track risk actioned experiences and measure the impact on new/enhanced changes Oversee the performance of a centralized risk vulnerabilities testing, identification and remediation function for Fraud and Credit Risk Management organizations Have technical and analytical acumen to design, develop and implement end to end solutions to improve Risk customer experiences and to identify and remediate Risk vulnerabilities Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of improvements made in risk experiences and reduced vulnerability exposures, as well as prepare regular reports/presentations for risk leaders on a routine basis Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of risk strategy such as fraud detection and prevention, balancing customer experience against rising fraud threats, using data to draw insights for risk mitigation Adept at SQL queries, reporting and presenting findings; Proficiency in spreadsheets, and other visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc. Strong analytical abilities. Familiarity with typical credit data, fraud detection and preventative systems & technologies Strong organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize manage multiple projects at once Experience managing cross-functional, multi-stakeholder processes, communicating and influencing stakeholders at various levels across functional boundaries Drive change and collaborates with other functions to ensure alignment to company goals Influences at a higher-level, gaining buy-in to achieve business objectives

We’d love to chat if you have:

9+ years of experience within a combination of risk management, operations and/or customer experience, within Fintech or Financial Services industries, with an emphasis on fraud and/or credit risks 5+ years experience in people leadership; driving team goals that are aligned with the broader organization.  Effective communication and coaching skills in a fast paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field Strong digital payments customer experience knowledge in identifying and resolving paint points and/or preventing exposure to vulnerabilities Design and/or UI/UX framework building of data products/tools a strong plus Experience in reading and writing SQL or other data extraction or analytical languages Leads collaborative efforts among diverse teams and departments, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge-sharing Excellent organizational skills - must possess ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously cross-functionally. Exercises significant influence on critical topics, both internally within BILL and externally within the industry

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed below. Zone 1- San Francisco Bay Area CA (includes HQ), New York City, Seattle$185,100—$230,900 USDZone 2- CA (Non San Francisco Bay Area), Austin TX, Massachusetts$166,600—$207,800 USDZone 3 -Utah (includes Utah office), Houston TX (office), Florida, North Carolina$157,400—$196,200 USD
