Job Responsibilities;

Provide daily oversight and support to operation managers and employees. Analyze systems and operational procedures and evaluate and implement new systems as required. Responsible for daily monitoring of rooms inventory, rate and plan availability and preparing reports of room availability and revenue generated. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate the level of guest service given to external customers by reviewing all guest surveys from Medallia, TripAdvisor, and any other guest feedback channels. Follow up/resolve as required. Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting periodic inspections, investigating complaints and initiating corrective action. Develop and utilize operating and training manuals to foster professional development and cross-training. Develop monthly action plans to proactively correct departmental deficiencies. Detect signs of emergency situations and respond with proper and prompt action. Review all schedules, purchase requests, purchase orders, to achieve budget and forecasted labor and expense targets and appropriate staging levels for optimal guest service. Represent Front Office and Housekeeping in the pre- and post- convention meetings and communicates needs to proper departments. Responsible for financial success of the rooms department including owning budgeting process, monthly forecasts, managing labor and expenses, and adjusting to changing levels of business. Responsible for the hiring, training and performance management of the rooms department. Focus on developing his leadership team through commitment to the VR Talent Philosophy. Conduct daily stand up meeting for hotel leaders, and ensure line up happens for AM and PM shift for bell and front desk. Integral member of the hotel leadership team. Actively involved in the weekly ROCS meetings and driving the revenue strategy, including owning inventory adjustments that are needed to achieve maximum RevPar. Adhere to and train on all resort standards to ensure meeting annual goal plan targets and achieve passing scores. Weekly self-audits. Take ownership of all valet operations and ensure adherence to safety standards. Ensure vehicle incidents are avoided through appropriate training and oversight of the valet and bell team. This position will act as General Manager in their absence.


Job Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum of 5 years in the lodging industry Minimum of 3 years of hotel management Experience managing department financials High level of professionalism and emotional intelligence


Preferred:

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Hotel Management Experience opening a hotel Experience with PeopleSoft

 

The expected pay range is $80,000- $90,000 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
