Job Description

  

The Senior Manager, SEC Reporting will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial disclosures

The position is responsible to:

Manage the SEC Reporting process for Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, and Form 11-K, including ensuring that internal controls over financial reporting are adequately designed, implemented and operating effectively. Prepare and/or review tie-out documentation for external reports Assist in month/quarter-end close activities as required, primarily focusing on (1) review of business operations, (2) preparation or review of debt/equity accounting items, and (3) streamlining and developing best practice reporting requirements. Assist in purchase accounting activities, as applicable. Coordinate certain efforts with service providers, including external and internal audits Research and analyze technical accounting and financial reporting issues, assess impact to organization, formalize positions and recommendations, write white-papers and ensure reporting compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work cross-functionally with corporate accounting, tax, finance teams, investor relations and legal to ensure completeness and accuracy of each SEC filing (SOX 404 Committee).Research and analyze technical accounting and financial reporting issues, assess impact to organization, formalize positions and recommendations, write white-papers and ensure reporting compliance.Interface with external auditors and legal counsel to ensure that all filings are made in advance of required deadlines. Prepare, publish and maintain a formal calendar/time-line of events associated with all filings including reviews by internal personnel, external auditors, disclosure committee, and the audit committee of the board of directors.Evaluate/monitor design and implementation and operating effectiveness of ICFR at Corporate office. Interface with external and internal auditors on SOX 404 audits.Participate in special projects as follows:Purchase accountingSystem implementations / improvementsThis position may require evening and/or weekend work as requiredPerforms other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5-7 years of related experienceCPA requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsA strong understanding of accounting, internal controls, auditing techniques and methodologyHands on SEC experience is highly desired, including use of SEC online reporting tools
