We are currently seeking an experienced, proactive and dynamic leader to join the IWPB Risk team in Malaysia for the role ofSenior Manager, Secured Risk.

Key Principle Responsibilities

Role holder will have full ownership and accountability for the secured portfolios for the Bank. This will encompass all financial risk as well as non financial risk.Continue to develop, assess and enhance the risk control and management strategies to meet approved risk appetite. Ensure all applicable Regulations, Global policies, Regional Guidelines and local policies that impacts IWPB are implemented. This encompass the following:-Continuous review and challenge of all existing policies and processes to ensure any gaps are mitigated.Lead detailed review of all new/changes in Regulations, Global policies and Regional Guidelines to determine applicability and gaps for remediation. Role holder will be accountable for ensuring detailed gap analysis is performed with follow through to ensure compliance.Take full ownership of the credit cycle and independently engage with all level of stakeholders to ensure policy requirements are fully understood for accurate implementation. Stakeholders will include the frontline team, First Line of Defence (product, credit services), Operations team, Local and Regional Risk, Local Regulatory Compliance and all respective Risk Stewards.Role holder will be required to have a good understanding and be able to embed profitability drivers for the secured portfolio for all strategic decisioning. This will include amongst others portfolio loss rates, IFRS9 and BASEL capital requirements.Effectively manage the Secured Risk team to ensure continuous build on individual team members’ strengths and maximisation of team synergies. Individual personal development is an important priority for the Bank hence the role holder will need to have a strong passion to drive this.Support the WPB Risk Head in managing all reviews i.e. BNM’s Composite Risk Rating review, Internal and External Audit reviews and Risk Compliance Assurance Services reviews.Collaborate with the Governance Manager in ensuring all required governance submissions, papers and deliverables are done accurately and timely. Possess a good and up to date understanding of market trends and be able to implement risk strategies to mitigate any identified future emerging risks.
