With the data explosion and new investment in semiconductors, it’s an exciting place to be. **Role** The Global Workplace and Infrastructure (GWI) team at Applied Materials is responsible for all facilities, from acquisition through operation to disposition. Senior Manager, site services and workplace services will front end all services within facilities function to deliver a world class experience for our employees. This role will be responsible to build and organize teams to focus on building operations, repairs and maintenance, customer service, cross collaborate with different functions in the campus to deliver a friction free experience to end users. The position is based in Santa Clara and will report to the Senior Director, Global Workplace & Technology solutions. The role will manage a team of approximately six direct reports and will have responsibilities for both hard and soft services, including but not limited to operations, repairs and maintenance of all HQ buildings, implementing Critical spare parts program and all activities as required for running transportation, janitorial, lobby management, events, move coordination, food programs, café services and rest of the other soft services. This role will be responsible to introduce engagement model with our point of contacts and introduce concepts of proactive management of services and customer relationship management. Participate in industry wide benchmarking exercises, share best in class practices and track trends in the industry for like minded company. Indulge in leading the business with data driven direction and what is needed. **Key Responsibilities** The Senior Manager, site operations and workplace services will: + Be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all facilities buildings at Santa Clara HQ campus, acting as the primary contact for emergency situations. Additionally, the Senior Manager, workplace services will assess and consider the safety of our employees, the security of our assets and the service to our members. This position will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services. + Oversees operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for continuous improvement opportunities. + Guide, mentor and direct the team to achieve cost efficient and process efficient solutions. + Deep knowledge of HVAC systems. + Good understanding of Building code and OSHA regulations. + Anticipates and tracks operational and tactical risks and providing strategic solutions. + Manages day to day business of the operations department while balancing the responsibilities of various business units such as business analysis, vendor, and risk management. + Establishes and maintains credible, professional relationships with clients, internal business lines, and external vendors. + Develop, in partnership with the regions, a framework for all employee services. + Drive creative initiatives to enhance employee experience to facilitate back to work. + Participate in the selection, contract negotiations, and onboarding of key consultants, particularly soft services, transportation, food companies, reception services, etc. + Create an engagement model to be the face of the GWI function. + Oversee budget creation and monitor the spend. + Monitor operations performance through a regular review rhythm to enable near real-time knowledge of health of the operations, risks, and help needed. + Ensure that the prescribed quality and financial control measures are implemented and maintained throughout fiscal year. + Create a feedback/survey mechanism to drive improvements and end user satisfaction. **The Ideal Candidate will have the Following:** Experience in the semiconductor or similarly technically complex industry and/or hospitality industry. Experience managing different line of business within the facilities. Strong executive presence with an ability to communicate with and effectively influence senior leaders. Passion to challenge the status quo in pursuit of material performance improvement. Experience with contract development, administration, and invoicing. Experience selecting, developing, and managing providers for transportation system, food program, recreation set up, lobby engagement model, janitorial services, events and meetings planning Experience managing different businesses within the same campus and navigating team cultures Bachelor’s degree or higher in an any Engineering or Business Management or equivalent **To Succeed in this Role Requires:** Ability to partner effectively with demanding and highly technical business leaders and internal customers. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
