Senior Manager, Solution Architecture and Prototyping Lead

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Solution Architecture and Prototyping Lead, to drive our solution architecture and rapid prototyping initiatives within our Power Platform Center of Excellence.

This role will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of low-code/no-code (LCNC) solutions while enabling rapid proof-of-concepts and enterprise-grade applications.

The ideal candidate will design and prototype scalable, innovative solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, enabling rapid application development across the organization.

This position will play a crucial role in enabling RBC to harness the full potential of low-code/no-code platforms to drive innovation, efficiency, and growth, while mentoring teams and establishing technical standards and best practices.

What will you do?

Lead the architectural vision and technical strategy for enterprise Power Platform solutions, leveraging Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices. Drive rapid prototyping initiatives and proof-of-concept development, enabling quick evaluation and validation of innovative ideas and solutions. Design and implement reusable solution accelerators and component libraries, promoting efficiency, consistency, and scalability in solution development. Establish technical standards, best practices, and design guidelines for platform users, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and secure solutions. Develop architecture patterns for enterprise-scale low-code solutions, providing a solid foundation for the creation of robust, scalable, and efficient applications. Lead technical discovery and solution design workshops, collaborating with stakeholders to identify requirements, define solution scope, and develop tailored solution architectures. Mentor platform users, technical teams, and business units on best practices in solution architecture, rapid prototyping, and agile development methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with 3+ years focused on low-code platforms5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform developmentProven track record of delivering enterprise-grade solutionsStrong understanding of integration patterns and API architecturesExperience in rapid prototyping and agile development methodologiesStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on rapid prototyping and scalabilityTrack record of successful stakeholder management and cross-functional collaborationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldMicrosoft Power Platform Solution Architect certification

Technical Skills:

Advanced Power Platform development (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)Custom connectors and API integrationComponent library developmentArchitecture patterns and best practicesPerformance optimization and scalability design

Leadership Competencies:

Strong innovation mindset and creative problem-solving abilitiesExcellent technical leadership and mentoring skillsAbility to translate business requirements into technical solutionsStrong presentation and communication skillsExperience in building and leading technical communities

Nice to have:

Experience with software development and cloud architectureKnowledge of AI and machine learning integrationExperience with DevOps and CI/CD implementationPrevious experience leading innovation labs or technical CoEs
